First. I want to thank Ms. DeLoe for her expertise and professionalism. There is good, there is better and there is BEST. Ms. DeLoe is simply the best. After fighting in the Family Court for ten years and won the right to adopt our granddaughter whom we raised in our home since she was three days old (her mother died after giving birth to her) My granddaughter's father decided to appeal the adoption. We were granted legal guardianship of our granddaughter seven to eight years before we decided to adopt her. Her father from the day we were granted guardianship, never visited, called or supported her financially. He appealed the adoption and our granddaughter was very concerned that she would have to leave the only home and family she knew. We were referred to Ms. DeLoe an appellate attorney. She called and had a conversation with our granddaughter and assured her that she would fight for her to stay in the home where she is loved, well cared for and safe. We waited and waited as the courts were closed due to the pandemic. It was a Friday morning, we woke up to the best news we have had in eleven years.
