I hired Joanne for a custody case that should have been relatively simple in November of 2019. The cases quickly took a turn for the worse and Joanne was amazing. This was my first time having to hire a lawyer, going in to this I had no idea what to expect. Joanne made what was a hard time seem seamless, her communication skills with me were exactly what I was looking for. She was always there to answer my calls any time day or night with any questions that I did have. She was punctual when going to court and through all zoom court sessions. When my marriage fell apart I knew I would need to hire a very good lawyer, so I interviewed several. Joanne told me her philosophy was to try hard to negotiate a solution, but prepare for a trial anyway, just in case negotiations fell apart. I chose Joanne, and this is exactly how it worked out. My ex just wasn’t able to agree to anything, so we ended up having to go to trial. When the day in court happened, Joanne made sure I was ready for anything, and was able to highlight the inconsistencies and falsehoods on the other side. Thanks to Joanne’s work, the resulting court order ended up being much more favorable to me than what was offered in negotiations beforehand. Joanne knew the law and the legal system inside and out, advised me in clear terms what I needed to do and what my options were, and would always get back to me quickly when I had questions or concerns. I went through a very messy divorce, Joanne was right by my side the whole way. She is extremely professional and ethical. Opposing attorney was deceptive, manipulative and dishonest and did a lot of character destruction through name-calling , but Joanne stayed well above his level, making the legal issues the only issues. She has more integrity than any attorney I know.
