I strongly recommend skipping this "law firm" altogether. The good reviews are for Vincent White and he is no longer partnered with them. Thomas "Tom" Ricotta is the shadiest attorney you will ever come across. Behind the scenes, he works for the employer. He will start off the consultation "listening to your case", which he schemes from the beginning on how he can scam you and make it work for him. He charges a lot of money upfront, then as soon as he is retained (hired), he becomes unavailable, does not answer phone calls, emails vague replies, kept me in the dark about anything happening on the case, communicated with my employer without my knowledge several times, acted annoyed when I demanded specifics of the calls with my employer, did nothing that I asked him to do regarding moving my case forward and was only in it for his own interests. He wanted me to settle extremely low. Recovered money to him means 40% tax free and who knows what else he is getting from the employer on top it. Our interests where not aligned, as he is not for his clients and have no interest invested in getting the outcome you desire. The moment I called him out on how unavailable he is, how he is keeping me in the dark and the lack of transparency and lack of communication leading to a lack of trust, he flipped on me. Had conversations with the employer and created an adverse affect. When I called his firm, a woman answered and laughed at me and said "nooooo" and hung up on me when I asked to speak to him. She giggled as she took down my name. You are better off representing yourself and protecting your own best interests then to hire Tom Ricotta who will not be for you at all. He preys on his clients. He is unethical, incompetent and has turned employment law into a scam. You would be better off representing yourself than to have Tom Ricotta anywhere near your case. If you have an employment matter that needs legal attention, I urge you seek out other employment attorneys. Do not even go for a consultation with Ricotta & Marks. Consult with as experienced and top rated employment attorneys (by their past clients) and get as many free consultations as hot can. Hear what each attorney is saying as a collective whole. Go for an attorney who you feel has your best interest and who you do not get any red flags from. Retain an attorney who does not take money upfront and works on contingency only. This means they only work for what is recovered - that is a win-win situation with no other invested interest. Tom Ricotta charges a significant amount of money upfront and has no intention to win your case. He is not worth $1 an hour but charges $500 an hour to work against you. I would say the same for Marks. "Birds of a feather flock together". I am willing to bet that is why Vincent White is no longer with them.

I was a student at one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the US, and undoubtedly, the world. I had been away on a medical leave of absence for a year after my first year and the school was giving me a difficult time getting back in. I contacted several lawyers, consulted with quite a few, all to have each and every one of them say there was nothing that could be done to get this institution to allow me to continue at that point in time. I had to do what the school asked. In the mix of lawyers contacted was Mr. Ricotta's firm. One morning, soon after I had left that message on their answering machine (I had left the message on a holiday), Mr. Ricotta called me back. Both Mr. Ricotta and Mr. Marks treated me with respect, and as a human being, not just as a client. They talked me through the whole process, gave me good advice and got the job done! It was smooth sailing for me, and I am sure that this was all because they worked hard for me. To go head-to-head with this school is no mean task. They have some of the best lawyers money can buy, but this firm came through and worked without the least hint of apprehension when all others turned me down. Today, almost a year from when this all happened, I can proudly say I am a graduate of this prestigious institution, all thanks to Mr. Ricotta and Mr. Marks!

Ponzi scheme! These lawyers will seduce you into signing retainer, make you pay and then you will never hear from them again. They take any frivolous lawsuit knowing they will lose and they don’t put client money in a trust , they spend your money as if it is their own personal piggy bank, like frauds and con-artists ! They are loser who never win cases !

I cannot say enough good things about R&M Ricotta & Marks, PC. Honestly, I walked into this law firm on a Friday afternoon with a personal / business legal crisis and a trial date scheduled for the following Monday. The law firm was able to fit me in that Friday afternoon and I met with the partners of the firm and told my story. They quickly grasped the nature of my problem and began to map out a strategy. They devoted their entire weekend to interviewing witnesses, taking statements, reviewing two years of notes and legal documents from my previous attorney. They researched the legal arguments that pertained to my case and throughout this whole process they kept me informed on what was transpiring. The trial began that Monday and attorney Thomas Ricotta was ready to present a brilliant opening statement to the jury. He did a great job in making sure the jury understood all the intricacies of the case. The trial lasted for 5 agonizing days but in the end the jury found me innocent, thanks to attorney Thomas’ diligence, intelligence and knowledge of the law sighting pertinent case studies. I always felt he was my advocate. I think it would be remiss not to mention the attentive support staff and the role they played in preparing legal documents and timely communications. Given the number of hours necessary to prepare and fight my case, I felt the legal fees were fairly priced.

I used this law firm a few years back and was extremely happy with not ONLY the outcome but how the entire process was handled from start to finish. I highly recommend using them and have no doubt in their abilities.

This was my second meeting today with Ricotta and Marks and I can say without hesitation that they are truly one of a kind. Mathew is very knowledgeable, personable and really listens to you. Unfortunately some attorneys and law firms have a tendency to leave a bad taste in your mouth after you leave their office but this was by no means the case with Ricotta and Marks. They truly care about their clients and their demeanor clearly exhibits this. I felt from the moment I first entered their office as if I have known Mathew for years. I would highly highly recommend this law for any of your legal needs that is within their specialty
