James Murtha is simply the best. He answered all my questions, and got right to work on my case. I felt at ease like I was in good hands from the minute I called him. Even when I knew I was being a pest he was professional and put my mind at ease. When we got to court he made minced meat of my lying no good tenants and their lawyer. I called Mr. Murtha for a free consultation. I thought I would need a lawyer and it would be expensive because that's what 2 other lawyers told me. They said I needed to hire them to do an eviction. I hired James Murtha to evict my tenants from a home I own in Nassau County. Being a widow, and having had prior issues with my tenants, I anticipated I would have difficulties getting them to leave. This proved to be true. Even after being properly served - my tenants refused to leave and used every means to claim they had "rights" in order to stall their eviction. However, Mr. Murtha met them head on - even changing his approach while at court - that resulted in a stipulation of settlement signed by my tenants. If he had not done what he did at the time - my tenants - who knew how to work the system- would probably have been able to get the case delayed for another 2 or 3 months. I'm thankful I used Mr. Murtha to get these tenants removed from my property. He knows how to get the job done.

A shady debt collection law firm sued me but never served me the summons so they got a default judgment against me that I didnt know about until they tried to garnish my pay. James not only got the judgment thrown out he got the whole case dismissed. Price was very reasonable too. Great result. Thanks.

james evicted my tenant faster then i ever could imagine. she was destroying my house and making my life hell. but james murtha knew just what to do and she wasnt so brave when we got to court. now i can rent to a normal person who pays the rent on time thanks to james. i recommend him.
