First I’d like to thank Kevin Sheerin. When I received my NOPD by none other than the NYPD, back in 2018 I looked for help. I tried contacting other lawyers for this field of DQs and none got back to me. Then I saw and read Mr. Sheerin’s reviews and called him. His staff immediately picked up and got me a meeting with him the following week. We spoke and I explained to him what happened through my process and he was well aware since he was a lieutenant with the nypd, and handled many civil services law issues like disqualifications. The price was right and recommended me to see an outside psychologist who again helped me overturn the process. This may be a lengthy process but I 100% recommend using mr sheerin as I have referred some of my friends who’ve gotten DQd by the NYPD. My case was overturned and was asked to go back to get another pysch evaluation and about a month later was asked to start my process again from where I had left off. I ended up turning my case down simply because I was in another academy and I am now working for the United States Capitol Police as a federal officer in DC. So one door may have closed but many more opened up and I truly believe I am here because of Mr. Sheerin’s help and dedication to what he does! Thank you!! On April 25th 2018 I received a letter of disapproval/denial of a Firearm from the NYPD based on my "background". Incidents which occurred 13 and 15 years during my youth. On April 26th 2018 I went to met with Mr.Sheerin producing all my documents where Mr.Sheerin advised me of the process and approach we would be taking. Mr.Sheerin was straight forward and honest regardless if I liked or disliked his responses which was the reason why I retained him. On April 27th 2018 Mr.Sheerin notified me of exactly what he needed on my part. Later that day I provided all documents which were requested. On May 17th 2018 Mr.Sheerin drafted up a letter of appeal regarding my eight incidents. After approving the document to be corrected and factual I approved this letter of appeal to be sent where Mr.Sheerin sent out the letter o. May 18th 2018. Mr.Sheerin advised me that there weren't any guarantees to my case going well did explain the positives and negatives which my influence a good or bad decision. At times Mr.Sheerin was slightly difficult to get updates from but his assistant was very helpful and always provided comfort assuring me Mr.Sheerin was hard at work. Eventually Mr.Sheerin would contact me with updates advising me who he spoke to from the NYPD appeals unit where I would keep my employer informed of the status regarding my appeal. Me and Mr.Sheerin were continuously in contact via Email throughout this appeal. On November 27th 2018 I was contacted by Mr.Sheerin advising me he received a Notice of Approval After Appeal on me behalf meaning they overturn the disapproval which was awesome. Overall Mr.Sheerin was awesome, not only because he achieved a positive result but because his guidance was comforting and honest. Simply the submitting of the letter from Mr.Sheerin's office strongly influenced a positive outcome. Thank you for all of your help Mr.Sheerin.

Mr Sheerin and his staff was a great help in helping me get my disqualification reversed. He kept me updated in every step over the process. His law clerk Maria was also very helpful in the preparation process of my documents. Some law firms just take your money and tell you hope for the best but not the law offices of Kevin P. Sheerin.
