Mr. Tim Havas is a terrible representation for our community an anything legal, he is disrespectful an 2ill take his bad days out on you, I called because his legal aid lawyer was not answering an I was told to shut up an that what my lawyer did wasn't my business even though he is suppose to consult with me about .y case an was on vacation, we can't let these people walk all over us, they're suppose to help us not disrespect us

Tim Havas lacks the demeanor and respect to work with self-respecting individuals who appreciate direct and honest communication. He speaks in ambiguities to skirt accountability on basic clerical and referential faculties nonspecific to your case. If you don't simply listen to him and take it he will take an aggressive and belittling rhetorical style to come back to you as just another number in his coinflip of a legal practice. Those in need of public aid deserve better and there are many options out there, an attorney should never make you feel unheard, speak nonspecifically to you about the logistics of your case, or not be able to handle basic secretarial and service standards constantly expected from the working class defendants he supports with local tax money. Sullivan County is victim to outdated Boomer legal and carceral practices on both sides of the bench and the leader of this group, Tim Havas, is just another cog in an inequitable county system that preys on the least fortunate and medically dependent individuals in the community. I appreciated and felt heard by the Attorneys who spoke with me in the Sullivan County Jail, as well as the staff of COs, Social Workers, and Nurses who helped me through my stay. The disconnect is with those in Havas Group who represented me in court not relaying the information I shared with the other attorneys in jail, and Tim Havas in his communication style with myself and multiple members of my family. Your taxes pay for these services and whether or not you are charged with a conviction you should expect decency always, but especially when dealing with legal matters that may have a serious impact on your future. Sullivan County and the people who live here deserve better, public aid is important to all of us and our community will improve when we hold the dominant institutions and practices here accountable to their constituents and the American Spirit of Freedom & Equality for all.

Mr. Walker and Mr. Tavas were very professional and helpful. They exceeded my expectations, I highly recommended them.

Always wonderful people here, friendly and helpful

I was easily dismissed and referred elsewhere. I was told what I needed help with, that they do not deal with my type of issue. I went to the people they referred me to, and was told that this legal aid was the people who were supposed to help me. I don't want to make this a racial thing, but it surely felt that way.
