This lady represented me in 2008 and advised me to pled to a deportable crime without making me aware of the immigration consequences!!!! She doesn’t work with an immigration lawyer to help her clients however she is a ex DA that stills help poor immigrants to plea to deportable offenses!!!! She will then say she advised you of the immigration repercussions when that would not have been the case!! You lady are a part of the system of deportation and imprisonment.

I am at the beginning stages of working with Yvonne Garbett, and I am so incredibly thankful I found her. My custody case is very complex with a lot of variables, and is definitely not a “run of the mill” scenario. Due to the situation, I specifically sought out someone with criminal and family law experience. I’ve spoken to several lawyers over the last few years, and not a single one of them seemed to grasp the gravity of my case the way Yvonne did. She told me all the things I wanted to hear, and all of the things I didn’t want to hear about the possible outcomes of my case and the direction it could go. I will update this review when I am at the “end” of my case, but if you are looking for a lawyer with expertise, compassion, and an understanding of personality types and behavioral patterns - do not look any further. I am so thankful I found someone I can trust. Highly recommend.

To put it plainly, Ms. Garbett kept me out of jail when the judges thought otherwise. Her fees are reasonable, she responds to all communication and gives clients sense of confidence in courtroom…which I believe all good lawyers should. Would highly recommend.

If you dont read anything else of my review, read this.... It would BEHOOVE you to at least give Mrs. Garbett a call to discuss whatever issue you may have and just hear what she has to say about it. Its free to call and she might just be able to help you when NO other lawyer can. That is exactly what happened to me. I met Mrs. Garbett at the worst time in my life, a midst a frantic search, calling every lawyer on google. I called approx 50 lawyers, some charging upwards of $30k and EVERYONE said my objective of keeping case in local court on such short notice was impossible. Not only did Mrs. Garbett see it as a simple task but had it done within an hour of our first conversation. On top of that, she got two felonies dropped to violations and kept my record in-tact. (rightfully so) and charged about 1/4 of the price of the most expensive lawyers I consulted. From our first conversation she put my mind at ease and took away my extreme stress. Mrs. Garbett clearly knows the system very well and all the people/ players within it and has been doing this a long time and her experience is evident. I found all the claims on her website to be true and truly felt she handled my case as if it were her own. Overall, I genuinely thank God for Mrs. Garbett. In a kind, confident and competent manner, she delicately and strategically guided me through, what was certainly the most stressful and worst few months of my life. Taking the burden off my shoulders and carrying it herself. Im going to try and put her phone number for those who may currently find themselves in the position i found myself in. Yvonne provided outstanding representation to our son who was falsely accused of a felony. She was able to move his conviction to a violation. I am very happy with the service I received from attorney Yvonne Garbett. This was our families first time dealing with the legal system and we did not know what to do or where to turn. Our fears were put to rest when we found Ms. Garbett. She explained everything that was going to happen and was always responsive to our questions and concerns. We hired Miss Garbett to represent our daughter who was arrested for DWI. She was able to get the charges reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor, which was a big relief to my daughter. I immediately setup a consultation and she agreed to it even on a Saturday, which happened to be her Son's birthday. She is really so committed to her profession and I decided to hire her right away. She kept me well informed right from the beginning on what the repercussions could be and how to be proactive. This is truly amazing, that she has such profound, sound knowledge about the law. My wife and I were completely torn and I definitely did not want a DWI on my record. Yvonne was able to get me a disposition and reduce the charge to a DWAI which is non criminal and will show just as a violation. I cannot say, how thankful I am to her, since this could have affected my personal and professional career in a drastic way. With being falsely accused and facing 15 years, my life was over. I received a 3 month intense program instead with a second chance at life. She believed in me and her dedication was apparent. My son was arrested for possession of drugs. I called Ms. Garbett on recommend from a friend of mine, who had used her services before. He could have gotten 5 years, but it was changed to a misdemeanor. He's home, and getting help for his problems. Ms. Garbett always returned my calls, and kept me informed. She really did a good job.
