Peter answered all of my questions while also educating me on NYS Laws and procedures in a manor that I was able to understand. He presented me with a course of action that met with my desires and delivered on his promises.

What I mean by that is after reviewing your case and evidence he claims to be able to deliver a just solution promptly. Unfortunately the claims and deliverables diverge completely. There are several issues like dropping the ball and refusing to act on your behalf as instructed, and most importantly,he abandons you and your case after reaching asettlement, but way before the opposing party is in full compliance. you are then left on your own to insure that your properrty and rights are handled as per the decree. He also refuses to respond to communications regarding the matter either by phone or email, despite many attempts. Worse yet he claims to not handle certain aspects of the compliance and never gets involved with that. I fing that to be revolting as the entire judgement was drafter and recommended by him , and not only had poor recommendations, but he goes so far as to say that's why i don't handle this. The simple question of "if its so bad or difficult, why did you recommend, advise and draft a document with those exact terms, to only later say I never liked them. Come on now.. everything was done upon his expert recommendations and drafting of the terms. The expression that he "always takes the easy way out and allows his clients to swing in the wind for years " as a result of his action or inaction couldn't be any closer to the truth. I apologize to the people reading this review for running on and being redundant, but I am so angry at the waste of time and money to only be smacked with abandonment. He might be worth a consultation, but i strongly recommend against hiring him and also counting on him despite his many reassurances to the contrary.

Peter helped me through a series of complex family law matters for numerous years, and stood by me every step of the way. What sets him apart from other attorneys in my opinion, is that he gives very realistic advice and legal guidance, and knows the judges, and other attorneys in the court very well, and they know him to be fair, ethical and he's well respected. I would, and have recommended him as solid representation for family court matters.

Awful!! So many items NOT put in my divorce settlement that I lost thousands and thousands of dollars. Other lawyers that read it say it’s terribly written.

When I first met Pete I came to him completely scared and concerned about the future well-being of myself and my children. From the moment I met him I knew I had made the right decision in retaining him. He kept me calm during an incredibly stressful situation and made me feel comfortable through the entire process. I also heard horror stories about divorce lawyers. When I decided to file for divorce I went to Mr. Jameson for a consultation. I had carefully written out all of my questions. Mr. Jameson answered all of my questions and even asked me some questions about my situation. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and honest. Mr. Jameson made sure that the outcome of my divorce was in my best interest.

My friend had recently been divorced, and I’d heard nothing but nightmare stories about her lawyer and how—despite her financial situation—he burned through her retainer...and then some. So when I finally made the big decision to divorce as well, I wasn't just nervous, I was terrified. But Peter Jameson changed all that. Not only did he listen to me—he really heard me and laid out a plan that worked for me and not just him. Although we did eventually use up my retainer, it was necessary, it happened gradually and fairly, and it was fully documented. He made sure I understood the process and expected costs, and at several points he even recommended we not take certain steps he deemed too costly and not worth the time. In the end, the divorce didn’t just go smoothly—it was more successful than I could have ever hoped. Although I don’t plan on marrying again anytime soon (let alone going through another divorce), if I did, I’d choose Peter all over again.
