Been working with Amanda to obtain my US citizenship. From the get go, Amanda provided clear guidance as to the process and requirements. When dealing with the USCIS, one should be strict on all the deliverables and other requirements. Amanda made it all VERY clear, simple, and streamlined. The firm experience with immigration was obviously a huge benefit and made the whole process with zero friction in less than 3 months end-to-end. Lastly, Amanda provided awesome resources and guidance to prepare for the naturalization test, which was super valuable in completing that segment as well. I would highly recommend anyone starting this process to work with Amanda unless you enjoy navigating the bureaucratic maze alone.

I am so happy I used Amanda Shaffer at Shapiro Law Firm to help me and my now husband with the fiancé visa process and then the green card process. You may look at the applications and think oh this is easy. That is what I thought at first, but the stress that accompanies it which was more than I could imagine was at ease knowing that Amanda was with us through every step finalizing and confirming everything was there and correct. There is more involved than meets the eye and certain questions you will question if you answered correctly. In the beginning, she told me our options and the best route for us. I had a million questions for her and she answered every one. I like to do my research and would come back to her with more questions and she was very patient with me and continued to answer all my questions and also tried to stress to stop reading what other people said on the internet. When the times came for us to get responses and we didn’t hear right away and I would freak out, she reminded me it was only the beginning of the time frame they gave us. I don't think I would have gotten through this whole process if it weren't for Amanda. I already have recommended her to a friend and used her services and were thrilled with the outcome and I will continue to recommend her to anyone I know could use her.

So the first several hours with the Shapiro Law Firm illustrated how the sibling team of Amanda and Aaron are special: I contacted Amanda last minute for a hearing to occur the next day. While taking notes about the situation, she asked sharp questions. She was ready to go to work, starting with suggesting a face-to-face meeting IMMEDIATELY. Not digital communication leading with the legal bill (though that's always important). No $300 consultation fee. Instead, Amanda vouched to avoid the typical over billing for minutia that give many lawyers a bad name. But the Shapiro Law firm is worth every penny. Into that first night -- well past work hours -- she communicated constantly: text, email, whatever it took. I told her a few times that she's not the typical attorney. She's smart and humane. She stressed that I should tell the TRUTH about the case. Short story: As you can read from other reviews, the Amanda and Aaron team are a dynamic legal duo. Any client would be fortunate to have them.

My interaction with the Shapiro Law Firm has been nothing but professional. Aaron and the team are highly proficient in legal knowledge, efficient in processing and accessible. I never felt like not being able to ask a question if something didn't make sense, and on the occasions I did, Aaron was articulate and detailed in his response and able to convey it in what I would say were "non legal jargon". Highly recommend!

I will never forget the First day I walk into the law firm ,Shapiro Law Firm wish I found there address on line remind you I just came from another law firm wish charge me $100 and I only site there for like 8 mins with out getting the information I needed .. I then look on line and the Shapiro law Firm came up , and I said let me call Aaron pick up the phone I told him that I needed help and he ask me my name and he told me to come in her will add my name to the front desk , I was happy to meet Aaron he sat there and no lie talk to me for over and hour why ??just to make sure he have all the right information and that way he knows what categories to put me in ... he don’t sugar coat anything he tell you the true , on my next appointment I have the pleasure of meeting Amanda which is the next attorney right off the back she treat me like she knows me for years , when I started I got approved for my work permit no lie them than 6 months them they call me for my finger print .. them all I did was wait for my work permit... I am from Jamaica ... all these lawyer take your money and lie about your dreams in America but The Shapiro Law Firm tell you what it is right there ,they don’t wast your time as well as you not wasting there , if you out there and think that you have a shot of becoming a permanent Residents in America call The Shapiro Law Firm you will never regret it ... know I just because a Permanent Resident 11/21/2019 and in 3 years I can be a citizen... I know this is a long store ... but believe me things like this need to be told ... don’t take your money and give it to these people that can’t do anything for you believe me you will not regret it at all... good luck to all those people who call , you will me in good hands trust ... you will thank me later.

Amazing experience! I am a practicing attorney, but I did not trust myself to handle our complex immigration situation (DACA, unlawful presence accrual, etc). After talking to multiple law firms who told us we had no options to convert from DACA to lawful permanent resident, Amanda and Aaron took us on as clients and walked us through every step of the process. Even though it took much longer than expected due to covid, Amanda was in constant communication with us the entire time. Our applications were approved and we just returned to NY from our interview at CDJ.
