Ms. Gherman seems like a good attorney during the consultation (perhaps because she wants that $350 non-refundable consultation fee), but as you go through your divorce matter with her, you realize that she doesn't give it the 100% attention it needs and deserve. I agree with the posters that says she is never in the office and her office is extremely unorganized. If you want quality, efficiency and professionalism, this is definitely not the firm for you. She has an answering service, I don't know why, because she never responds to you. I can't believe I wasted over $7k for garbage work.

If you are looking for an attorney that works normal business hours, this is not the right attorney for you! I used Ingrid for a divorce case and she is always postponing without checking with me first. Claims to be in court all day, but I was told by reception she doesn't come in until after 5 pm. Wish she would have told me that during the consultation instead of misleading me. Sent her documents and she keeps requesting the same documents again and again. Very sloppy and unorganized!!!!

Almost a year ago, I thought my life was falling apart. Then I found Ingrid Gherman. Previously I had four other attorneys working on my divorce case. All of them fell seriously short of providing me with the help I needed. Either they didn't seem to know what they were doing or long periods of time would elapse before I heard anything from them concerning my case. Ms. Gherman knows the law and she really seems to care about it and about the particulars of my case, which was a very complicated one including an appeal and many motions. It seemed to go back and forth forever. But Ingrid was there with me every step of the way. She took to time to explain details and strategies and asked for my input and feedback. This was a new experience for me because my experience with other divorce lawyers was not good at all. They showed indifference, and spoke down to me rather than explaining things in a manner that I could comprehend. I am intimidated by the legal system on top of being totally stressed over my break up with my husband and battle over custody of my two children which broke my heart. Anyone who has not been through this type of personal dislocation cannot understand the terror I was experiencing because my life was coming apart. I thought I would never be able to recover.... or to win my case. But that is exactly what happened. And Ingrid was the one who helped my do it. Did I say that she is also a very caring and compassionate person. I didn't think lawyers could be like that. This made me wonder if she really had the stuff to put up a real fight against my husband and his legal representative. I found out in court, however, that she is one tough cookie. She met every tactic and maneuver from the other side with even stronger and more convincing legal challenges. It was a revelation just how effectively Ingrid fought on my behalf. Each time she needed to move forward, she always consulted me and kept in constant touch. Getting Ingrid to represent me was the best thing I ever did.

I recently came to this lawyer with an emergency as my spouse was completely unreasonable. Her office made an emergency request of the Judge and we won! I was very pleased. I've come to learn that Ms. Gherman is actually the co-author of some very famous book which apparently all the divorce lawyers use as their guide. Very impressive and you would never know, since she has no airs about her at all

This is a really terrific attorney. As a client recently amicably settled a divorce, I want to give rave reviews to Ms. Gherman. Through out the process of my divorce which included custody issues for our two young children, Ms. Gherman stood by me, kept me informed, and showed me that she really knew her stuff. I was impressed from the first consultation that I had with her in her office. She spent what I thought was time over and above to explain my options and presented a clear road to settling with my wife so that it would be a seamless and calm process for our children. I am happy, my ex-wife is happy and must important our children are adjusting beautifully to the new situation. I will say that even though this was an amicable separation and divorce, there were some sticky moments and Ms. Gherman was unflappable in her determination to get me a fair settlment. I definitely suggest that you check out this attorney for any family matter.

I was very happy with my attorney, Ms. Ingrid Gherman. Very much helped me with my case. My outcome was very good and she explained all kinds of things to me. I was afraid that I would loose my house and whould have no where to live. And I have a newborn baby. This was soo scary. At least now I can sleep at nite. My baby is safe with me and I am getting some child support. Because I have been very sick and not abel to work. Now I can relacks a little bit.
