The worst experience I have ever had with hired help. I retained Tom 2 years ago for a simple reimbursement case. I provided all receipts and correspondence. I have yet to see a single dollar from my ex or get past a single court date without the petition being dismissed for mistakes from his office, or withdrawn- for reasons unknown to me, still. When we had a court date, he would go weeks or months without contacting me to tell me how it went. I was always forced to hound him to refile! This is absurd behavior from an attorney. He was always calling me kiddo. I am a 34 year old single mother who has retained your services. Not appropriate. I constantly felt like I was being blown off and not taken seriously. In NYS, you are supposed to received billing statements from your attorney every 60 days. I have never once received one in 2 years. So I asked for one- no response. Two weeks later, asked again- received an unprofessional, 1 sentence response. 2 weeks after that- still nothing. I’m filing a complaint with the NYS bar, who was very interested in my experience with Tom; I suggest anyone else who has had similar experiences with this attorney do the same. I feel victimized by my own attorney and that should never happen.

I have to remain anonymous because of my ongoing case. But reading reviews, this lawyer I know has his own way. We all get frustrated its court !! Its our lives! But the cases I read where hes the worst? Really? Theres so much more to cases. I've had my own frustration but that's not his fault. Hes done everything I've asked and some. He is not biast he needs facts he goes off the truth. Hes honest and he understands. And well hes dealing with all our personal issues give the guy a break. We all have them hes human it didnt affect his job or guy up there u would of done legal action. I've taken my own crap out on him and he still does what he does. If the case was lost you cant blame other people for our messes we pay them to help clean it up. And maybe you shouldn't hit your child or tell your lawyer that. ! My experience is crazy bc I have a terrible ex. But he does look you in the eye that's his thing! Hes a good lawyer and will fight for you when he knows you've been dealt a hand that is ridiculous!

Nine years ago Mr.Caserta helped me win sole custody of my son. He works very hard for you when he goes to court with the childs best intrest at heart. If you listen to him and give him all the information he can use against your ex he knows family law and In my opinion he is the best choice for a family lawyer. I will use his services again and recomened him to anyone going through a custody battle. He is worth every dollar I paid him to make shure I won sole custody of my son. Thank You Mr.Thomas caserta

My family's world was turned up side down by my exes actions. I started calling lawyers to find out what to do, where to start, for help and how to proceed with our new situation. I set up 3 consultations with other attorneys, who's secretaries would give me nothing but an appointment and their typical retainer fee for this type of case. Frustrated with how insincere and scripted the staff sounded I was not impressed and more of a wreck then before. I called Tom's office and his staff was different from the minute they answered, unlike the others no money was talked about, instead she told me he would call me before I had to be to work. He called me and from the minute I answered I knew he was what I was looking for. He took the time, listened to my concerns, genuinely cared, and put my worries to rest. I never went to any scheduled consolations but the one I set up with him. He and his staff went above and beyond for me, always made me comfortable, like I was a priority and they were happy to do anything they could to ease my mind. He got me the results I was looking for. Tom is a wonderful attorney and worked hard to achieve an even better end result for my new family then I asked for or was expecting. I have and will continue to recommend him and his staff. If your looking for someone to represent you save yourself the frustration and make him your first call!!!

Very nice guy. Very lousy lawyer. Screwed my divorce up from the very start. My wife was asking for huge maintenance after she left me and the kids. After reviewing my income and hers, Mr. Caserta assured me what she would owe me in child support would more than offset what I owe her in maintenance. Break even right? Wrong! We had not even seen her financial affidavit yet (she couldn't be bothered to fill one out) and Tom agreed in a conference with her attorney and the judge that I would pay her $800.00 per month. Then he tried to tell me what a great deal he got me! After I went off on him, he sends her attorney and the judge a letter saying his client no longer agrees to this amount. When did I ever agree to this? Especially after he told me it would be break even! Try getting maintenance reduced after your lawyer already agreed to it. He had been very clear with me that we would not even negotiate without seeing her financials and he goes ahead and agrees to $800 per month. I know he was distracted with some of his own personal issues at the time but I am the one that will be paying for this. Not him. My new attorney has since gotten it reduced slightly but this is a mistake I will be paying for for a very long time. Am considering legal action to get my retainer back but my new attorney tells me its not worth the aggravation. Good ol boys club! Did I mention he recommended me forking out over $6000 for a retainer fee to a consultant firm to put a value on my business? My new attorney tells me that it would have ended up costing me $20,000 in fees by the time they were done. We have since avoided this and negotiated a settlement on the business value. Do Not use this attorney!

This individual and his staff are very unprofessional, non responsive, extremely late in providing court ordered documentation and information. He is very ignorant and lacks the ability to support both parental sides of a custodial situation. He is extremely rude outside of the courtroom. He will not look myself or anyone within my realm in the eye when addressed. He is non attentive to the safety of the children while in the noncustodial parents visitation and is not willing to hear out the ill treatment or various situations that my child have been forced to experience while at that parents home. He is only focused on the wellbeing and statements of a 14 year old child and did not address the existence of my disabled child until question by my legal representation. He is however, very quick to provide guidance and fabricated stories and support the "ex" in approaching CPS with have resulted in no reportable findings. I nor anyone in my immediate network would ever recommend this individual to support anyone for any legal matter. It would be below my ethical standard and an embarrassment to the legal society to do so.

This lawyer is very female biast. Mr. casserta was my kids law guardian for a court case, I had a very strong case but he sided with her even thought she had no case during the trial. Also, I have had instances where she would do something to the kids and I would contact him, he would tell me that he was not concerned with her hitting them, but if I tried to disicpline my kids he told my ex call CPS and fight for custody. Not a trustworthy law guardian.
