She helped me thru so many family court issues and she was very informative and always got the job done. Love her and would recommend her to a friend.

This attorney was appointed by my mother’s mortgage company to assist with what was supposed to be a short sale on a property that was in foreclosure. I was misled by the real estate broker and was offered no advice by this attorney to make decisions that were in my mother’s best interest. His communication was poor. He would not tell me ahead of time how much money I would receive for my mother. The communication was so poor that I was informed the sale was not a short sale at the actual closing. It was obvious he did not care. I deeply regret not hiring an attorney myself who would have acted in my mother’s best interest. I left the sale with a check for $579 and the real estate brokers involved collected over $10,000 in commission. That was not advocating on behalf of his client.

If I could I would not even give one star. This attorney was recommended to me by my neighbor who has used her in the past. I had initially gone in for myself looking for a divorce attorney. A fee for retainer was set but this attorney only works with cash payments. I dont know many people who have thousands of dollars in cash lying around. I certainly do not and so I could not retain her at this point in time. My son needed an attorney to help him handle an issue regarding his drivers license. We sat with her again and while she was initially very helpful in the consult we have not been able to communicate with her since. Her retainer was agreed on as $500 at the time of the appointment but she didnt want any money at that time. When my son called back he was told the retainer would now be $750. Since that day both myself and my son have called no less than 6 different times over a two or 3 week period to try and speak directly with this attorney. She has never returned either of our calls. I consider this very bad business and so will not be doing business with her at all.

Hands down the best attorney you can ever ask for. She’s patient, kind, knows the law inside and out and very well known in the court system. If there’s anyone you can trust, it’s Mary Elizabeth Abbate.

Where do I start the praise from the moment we hired Ray he continuously surprised us with his communication support and willingness to do whatever it took legally to get this house closed. Where the Realtors fell off Ray picked up. He renegotiated the contract not once or twice but three times due to issues on the property when our realtors were nowhere to be found he is a deal maker. I never thought the day would come where I give a attorney a gift that exceeded the $900 he charged me for a transaction. Ray I hope you enjoy the pen.
