“The Dutchess County's DA's Office is doing the right thing by working with Probation to create effective offender re-intgration community programming. Cons
1
Some staff members, such as Miriam Citro and Josephine, have been described as unprofessional, rude, and condescending in their interactions with the public
“Miriam Citro is the most unprofessional, rude and condescending person I have EVER spoken to in my life . I was yelled at by her , and she rudely hung up the phone on. Like if I was being prosecuted, but people is was the other way around .”
2
“Incredibly rude, unprofessional, & incompetent worker Josephine kept speaking loudly over me, repeatedly calling me the wrong name. She wouldn't listen to me AT ALL & the reason I was calling."
2. The office has been criticized for their handling of cases involving individuals with autism, such as Vinnie Carozza, who was allegedly jailed despite his special needs”
3
“A great injustice has been done to a young man on the autistic spectrum. He was wrongfully arrested for events that occurred as a result of his disability and mostly because the facility in which he lived was negligent and did not adhere to their responsibility of having a 1-1 aid for Vinnie Carozza.”
