Perhaps we were just incredibly unlikely with the choice of our attorney, but I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend this firm for anyone looking for assistance with a probate situation. My wife has called repeatedly begging for someone to get back to her, without result! Meanwhile, the invoices keep coming. My wife’s cousin died over a year and a half ago and we just want to resolve this situation. I have to say that it almost feels like they're drawing this out on purpose. As they say, Caveat Emptor!

I had a terrible experience with this law firm. They were highly unprofessional, disorganized and ill-prepared. Dealing with them was a complete nightmare. I would never consider working with them again. In fact, if the other party appointed them in a deal, I would not hesitate to walk away.

She dug deep into New York State law and sought out experts within the firm to ensure that all legal options were explored. Our outcome could not have been better, WE WON. Ms. Perlman ensured my son was awarded the appropriate compensation.

I am terminating Paul OBrien as my attorney immediately I requested he send me papers involving my case he said he sent never reviewed them I believe Paul failed in so many ways more to follow at the appropriate time I personally would not recommend anyone retain this attorney Thank you Charlie Lewner

Paul was recommended to me. We had a first phone meeting, where he said he needed $3,000.00 to review my case. I sent an email listing the questions I needed answered and paid the $3,000.00. After allegedly reviewing what I sent, he wrote me a very generic letter that did not address ANY of my questions. He alleges to be an estate expert but also wanted to take on a collection matter for me. He said we should first see how much money needs to be collected before taking another retainer. So asked a simple question about the interest rate (was it the same as in the loan note or changed). He vehemently refused to answer until he had the 2nd retainer. I even offered to pay him to answer the question, but he refused. When I asked him to send me a paid bill along with the time backup for the "consultation" on the estate he did, he also refused, saying that he spent more time than I paid for. I doubt he even spent an hour or two for the $3,000.00. In this email he also was quite rude and unprofessional saying he wouldn't take my cases because I wanted everything for free. Stay far away from this man and his firm; as he is a partner and evidently they allow this kind of greedy, egotistical behavior.

I was on the receiving end of a fraudulent & frivolous Article 81 Guardianship proceeding in NYS for "my person" and "my property". I hired Paul M. O'Brien Esq. to represent me and indeed that was what he did; represent only my interests! I put my life in the hands of a skilled practitioner who is well versed in the ins and outs of Mental Health Law Article 81. Thanks to his strategy and expertise he was able to have the petitioner withdraw the Article 81 petition, thereby preventing an appeal by the petitioner at a later date. Paul M. O'Brien Esq. saved my life and at age 89 I am able to conduct my life freely as I choose!
