STONE-AGE LAW FIRM WORD PERFECT INSTEAD OF MICROSOFT WORD. If you want a law firm right out of the stone age then these lawyers are for you! They used an old-fashioned program called WordPerfect on most of my cases. So if you need to write your ex an email and you need to copy and paste from a stipulation or divorce decree, you’ll have to type it in all yourself, word-for-word instead! No copying and pasting for you! Of course, you can always pay them serious money to copy and paste. (Maybe that’s why they still use the WordPerfect and not Microsoft word?) ANTIQUATED BILLING. And their billing is antiquated too.  So if you have to use them for multiple cases you won’t know which case each charge pertains to. So if you switch lawyers—I had to!—and it comes time for you to recover legal fees in your case… Well… Good luck with their billing! SCHOOLED BY A JUDGE. And a judge had to school them on how to write up a simple carve-out in my separation agreement! Too bad because they they are conveniently located and their support staff is really nice.

A smart, fair attorney with a great memory - and that's important! She got me through my divorce with as little pain as possible, and I came out feeling that the result was fair. That is all you can ask for in a divorce, because in divorce there is no winner.

Bridget Tartaglia is truly the cream of the crop when it comes to matrimonial attorneys. Being an attorney myself, I've have had many dealings with many different types of lawyers over the past decade, both positive and negative. Knowing Bridget's reputation in the legal community, together with numerous recommendations from other attorneys, I hired Bridget as a lawyer for myself. Because of this, I know from both professional AND personal experience there is absolutely no one more fair, ethical, knowledgeable, qualified, honest, or more highly respected in this field than Bridget. Bridget is the one attorney who has consistently proven that she choses to be in this field not only to aggressively advocate for her clients, but to do so compassionately, fairly, and honestly. She is a truly genius at what she does, and I could not have more respect for her if I tried. Getting a separation, divorce, or being involved in a custodial dispute is one of the most stressful things a person could ever go through. Having a pleasant, knowledgeable and strong attorney who you know will confidently advocate for you (without you having to worry that you are being overcharged or "ripped off"), is paramount to your financial -and emotional- well being. Bridget Tartaglia is an amazing person and a phenomenal attorney who with make you feel comfortable, and be your tough, yet classy and professional, legal advocate throughout the whole process.

Having dealt with other lawyers in the past, the treatment I got from this team was not what I expected. They were professional, knowledgeable, caring. It's hard to find a lawyer that goes above & beyond and she does. Bridget and her team went above and beyond what I would have expected my situation had a lot of issues and she handled them all. Amazing job with a positive, better then expected outcome. I would never go to anyone else.

Bridget is a member of a rare breed: an aggressive, tough matrimonial attorney who is also honest and highly ethical. As an attorney on Long Island for nearly 17 years, I have met a wide variety of divorce attorneys. The vast majority, from my experience, are sleazy and amoral, concerned primarily with their own financial interests to the detriment of their clients. It is often said that a protracted divorce proceeding makes both parties unhappy, and that the lawyer is the only one who benefits. In my case, my soon-to-be ex hired a $450/hr. attorney who dragged out proceedings as long as possible in order to pad his pocket, while our daughter was struggling to pay for college. Bridget was so different. She called me only when necessary, did not pad my bills, and was a tremendously effective litigator. It is impossible to gauge how good a divorce attorney is through this rating system, since generally clients are never happy with the results. I must say, however, that my working relationship with Bridget was excellent, and she took a tremendous amount of stress off me so that I could focus on my own practice. I would highly recommend Ms. Tartaglia to anyone seeking a tough, aggressive and ethical attorney who will zealously represent their interests.

Divorce is ugly business. I doubt any attorney can please every client. I believe to get the right person for you, you need to interview different attorneys. Bridget Tartaglia represented me for a devastating divorce 3 years ago. There were several unusual and difficult circumstances involved. Prompt and assertive decisions were made at the outstart which favorably impacked my case. I can say that Bridget is thoroughly knowledgeable and also caring. She is professional without being arrogant. She worked very hard against an unethical, inflamatory opposition. Things worked out well and although it did take almost 2 years (because of my exhusband's attorney dragging it on), it could have gone on forever had I used someone with a combative personality. Without a doubt, Bridget did her very best for me and I will always be very appreciative.

I met with Bridget 2 years ago after being unhappy with my current lawyer. She was knowledgable and made me feel very at ease. I decided to change attorneys and it was the best move ever. With her help, I was able to end a very horrible chapter in my life and benefited by having a great resolution of my matter. Both her and her staff were attentive to my matter and I feel very fortunate that I had her on my side.

I used her for a divorce. She represented me for 4 years. She never told me that splitting everything down the middle.a 50-50 split meant that I would owe my ex $240.000. She mis-informed me on several important issues and I am still paying for it in over $1oo,ooo worth of expenses that she left me owing. She encouraged me to take my case to trial to fight for child support,1/2 of all bank accounts /back pay in support by my ex-husband/outstanding monies that my ex husband was court ordered to pay/and spousal support. My ex husband at the on set of this divorce showed a w2 worth approximately $900,000. She old me I would be fine and get a nice settlement. and be ok to maintain a decent lifestyle for my only child..In addition she had been collecting tens of thousands of dollars of "LEGAL FEES' from my ex husband as I had only a minimal income of 10,000-15,000 a year. She encouraged me to take this case to trial and "fight" for money she claimed I was entitled to.In the meantime...It is now weeks before Christmas and January of the New Year we are scheduled to begin trial. At the same time my ex-husband looses his $9oo.0000 a year job and is now making unemployment ..I suddenly get a $9,000 bill to pay and in addition, are asked to give up front a $8,000 retainer to begin my trial proceedings. My ex lost his job-her money source has run out so I get hit with the bill's. My next day in court I tell the judge I do not want her to represent me any longer. He asked if I was in agreement with my legal charges,I said No,he told me to have an arbitration hearing.By April I was in arbitration-which NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO-its all run by lawyers, like a brotherhood, the head arbitrator actually said"the only mistake that was made here was that you married the wrong person.."You can't win..they don't even listen and just make your life into an even bigger joke....So I owe Bridget $9,000 ..the very next day after the arbitration hearing..i am mowing my lawn and I get served by a processor..she served me with legal papers that said she was suing me for the $9000.00 . I couldn't have even mailed a check or gotten to the bank yet,it was the very next day after the hearing,,,,that is something you do when someone refuses to pay or hasn't paid their bill. But this was ridiculous. Monthly household bill's are sent out and utility company's give 30 days to pay before it's "late" this was purposeful and very unnecessary.I wish it mattered that i was with her for 4 years and I wish it mattered that she new better than anyone that I had no financial means to pay that bill,i wish i had deserved to be treated in a such a degrading, disrespectful manner, but i did not! I was served by a court processor the very next day that she was awarded the full amount of the $9000.00. She knew,,she would be awarded the money..she already had the court papers ready to go ...and she served me..I of course applauded her for FINALLY being able to attend to something in my case with such urgency.....i guess when it really was something that was important to her ...like her ..wallet.
