Matthew Sgambettera is an absolutely amazing attorney! I can’t express how well he handled a case for me. He will be the only attorney I use in the future! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, quick to respond (via calls, emails and text), extremely thorough and he won’t take all your money. Do not be alarmed that he is downtown Saratoga, he is a real man with a down to earth demeanor. I have never been as happy with an attorney as I was with Matt! Matt can represent you in many different cases but if he can’t for some reason, he won’t hesitate to refer you to the best that will. I was so happy with how he handled my case, that I almost left with tears of happiness!! Huge thank you for his hard work!

I can't say enough about Heidi Gifford and her Saratoga Team! From start to finish in my divorce and custody process, Heidi was extremely responsive, honest, and aggressive in support of myself and my children. She truly eased every uncertainty and concern I had going into this process, and she fought for me like she was fighting for her own kids. I was very happy with the outcome, and will immediately go back to Heidi if ever needed. I have never needed a lawyer for anything other than family court, but from what I have witnessed in my case, I would recommend Heidi to anyone looking for an attorney for any of their needs. I could not be more satisfied.

I am not one to typically write reviews, but after spending considerable time with Heidi and her team, I felt compelled to share my experience. I have been divorced for several years, and have shared custody of my children. After a tumultuous and extremely costly divorce, I have been back through the mill of Family Court in Saratoga several times, with varying grades of success. For my initial separation and divorce, and subsequent court hearings, I have used members of big firms from both Albany and Saratoga as my attorneys. While reputable, I often became frustrated because it was a struggle to get calls back, emails returned, or even get the sense that my case seemed important in their eyes. While I understand these larger firms handle LOTS of clients with likely more complex cases than mine, I often felt as if my case was left off to the side until either the day prior or the day of a hearing. I recently had to revisit Family Court, and decided to look for a local, Saratoga-based attorney with a reputation for taking the case as seriously and as personally as I did. I did my research and asked around, and Heidi's name came up several times. I contacted her office and immediately was transferred to her (which was refreshing, and not told someone would call me back). During our initial conversation, I could tell Heidi was exactly what I was looking for - extremely knowledgeable about Family Law, the intricacies of navigating Family Court (and specifically in Saratoga), and above all no-nonsense and realistic about the road ahead. During my initial consultation, I got to see first-hand what others had told me about Heidi - her honesty and realistic approach on how to construct and lay out our case, with an attention to detail that is often frustratingly missing in family court cases. I could tell immediately that she took a deeper interest in my case, in the welfare of my kids, and in an outcome that would be fair and ultimately support my long-term interests. Unlike other attorneys I have had, it felt like Heidi was fighting alongside me, as aggressively as I was, and giving me suggestions and pointers along the way as the case developed. I am still using Heidi months later as my case continues, but her ready availability to take calls, openness to listen to my ideas, and sometimes give me a needed dose of reality is why I would never go with another attorney. I can't speak to other reviews or experiences, but having been in this system for awhile with other attorneys and having many friends who have been through the divorce process, I can only imagine any negative reviews of Heidi or her team are from people who were fed unrealistic ideas about the process (probably by family and friends-as we all have), the inherent and sometimes unavoidable costs associated with this process, and/or did not listen, follow directions and allow themselves to be guided by Heidi and her team. Everyone that has the misfortune of going through a divorce has a different experience, and from my perspective (after years of struggling), I could not offer a higher recommendation of Heidi Gifford and her team.
