I contacted Villanueva Law Firm for a speeding ticket in upstate NY. While the firm was reasonably priced, their service was overall unprofessional and seemingly incompetent. After receiving notice that the matter was resolved and payment of my fine was accepted by the court, Barbara Villanueva urgently contacted me to inform me that they had failed to do the correct addition of my fine and the surcharge so I needed to make an additional payment to the court. My license was still on the line for suspension even after they assured me the matter was resolved. While working with them for a few months, I was told not to contact them for updates, rather they would reach out to me when they had more information about my case. The updates I received from them were full of grammatical errors, which is worrisome because they were also responsible for representing me in their communications with the court. Overall, Villanueva Law failed to do their due diligence and pay attention to the small, but crucial details that could mean the difference between my case being resolved or my license being suspended. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone.
