He lied about everything and double charged for motions that were never done along with court appearances he never made in addition he charged for serves he himself did not do. A case that should have been settled in no more than 6 months took over a year and a half. After I fired him and hired a new attorney my case settled in 3 weeks.

I hired Phil Castrovinci for my custody/adjust child support trial. It cost me approximately $30,000, plus I was forced to pay the OPPOSING lawyer $7,500 on top of the $30,000 at the end. The Judge wrote us saying, “Defendant (my ex) included a Statement of Net Worth for the Court’s consideration, which gave a more comprehensive picture of the Defendant’s financial circumstances. Plaintiff (me) did not include a Statement of Net Worth which limited the Court’s examination of his financial circumstances. Accordingly, the Court shall award of counsel fees in the sum of $7.500.00 payable by Plaintiff to Defendant.” Not only was I refused custody of my 14 year old son, who was begging to live with me, I was somehow forced to pay over $10,000 in ‘retro’ child support when I had paid, in full and on time, what I was required to by law up until the trial. I sat in court and watched my ex and her lawyer commit perjury by telling lies to The Court, under oath. Sitting in court I had, in my hands, proof they were lying and Phil’s response was, “It doesn’t matter”. The evidence was not presented to the Judge and I got nothing out of this case except a large amount of debt and disappointment. As stated by other reviewers, you’ll be promised the moon and don’t hold your breath waiting for return calls/e-mails. When I was fortunate enough to get a rare response from an e-mail or a call, direct/specific questions that I had asked were dodged. The ‘glowing’ reviews here seem to completely contradict my experience, along with multiple others. On Google reviews, I see that a family member left a 5-star review for Phil’s associate. It make we wonder about the validity of these positive reviews. Hire at your own risk!!!

I too wish I could give a negative star . This firm is incompetent and full of lies and false promises. I'm not sure if they did anything for me except suck me dry of thousands of dollars. Do yourself a favor… Research your lawyer… Do your homework… And do not hire anyone from this practice

My custody case sadly went on for over two years due to four changes Of judges which was completely out of his control. During that time the staff was nothing but amazing and supportive… They are completely approachable and friendly. Mr. Castrovinci is professional, knowledgeable, concerned and to me the most wonderful attorney there is. Yes it's expensive, but that's how it goes unfortunately. If I had to do it all over again hands-down this is the only attorney I would use, I had complete faith in him and I am beyond happy with the results. I highly highly recommend him!

I have used this firm for the past 4 years. It started out with all these promises of taking care of me with my divorce. When they found out how much money i made, they dragged my divorce case on for 3 1/2 years. It was a nightmare. They actually pushed the divorce to go to trial, without settling, to charge even more money. My ex wife was trying to get more than she was entitled to, so that caused major problems as well, but my own attorney didn't care about me, only how much he could get out of me. The divorce finally ended and then i had a custody dispute, and a child support dispute once i gained custody of my son. They actually charged me another $5000.00 for a custody dispute that never happened. My ex signed off on the custody papers before going to court at all and the firm took all of the money and gave some lame excuse about not giving me any refund. I'm currently taking them to small claims court. Stay away from these scammers. They don't call you back in a timely manner. It took me 2 weeks to get a call from a girl in the office, after i said it was an emergency. Phil hasn't called me back in 10 months after giving them over $70,000.00. Divorce is hard enough, don't ever call these people.

I found Phil Castrovinci to be knowledgeable and well respected in the courtroom. He provided me great legal representation during a lengthy and very costly divorce trial. His staff is caring and readily available to you for any help you may need during what is a very difficult situation.

He never returns phone calls - I use to look at my monthly phone bill to see how many times I would call his office to find out what was going on - he would take weeks to call me back, and most times he would have the secretary do it, leaving a message that he will return my calls shortly, but never does, until I have to keep calling again. He promises the moon but when the opposing party seems to remain difficult, he sways over to their side trying to convince you that unfortunately you will get nowhere - this is the easy way out for him. He thought that by giving my matrimonial home over to me, which was laden with financial debt and basically a money pit of which I could never afford, was a great deal for me and was actually insulted I didn't grab this offer. When my ex refused to pay his court ordered child support obligation, this attorney started advocating for him by telling me that contractors after all are having a hard time with the economy. I told him my ex is working making good money, as he always did. Then he recommended I hire a private investigator. When I did, Mr. Castrovinci still said that wasn't good enough because I didn't hire them for months at a time, following my ex for weeks on end. He knew I could never afford that and he also did not recommend I do that at the beginning. He always gave the other side mostly what they wanted, then came back and said that I can't expect much more because they won't settle.

Mr Castrovinci represented me in a case. He stayed in communication with me every step of the way. He accepted a payment plan and never made me feel like I owed him anything. Mr Castrovinci is a great Attorney, honest, non Judgmental, ethical and really cares...

Phil Castrovinci has no interest in settling a divorce case. If your not a high roller your case goes to Matt Mady. Matt, is easier to speak with but just as unlikely to settle your case. This firm has chewed through $13,000 with no result. They work very well with the attorneys on the other side - which causes one to wonder who's interest they are representing. I now represent myself but will consider hiring an attorney from another firm. This firm does not care about your personal situation. It's a sign you up and bill you $1,000 a month firm ... for as long as you can bear it. My advice is to stay away and try someone else...
