Lawyer didn't put in paperwork on time to get reimbursed for any legal fees, from ex during divorce. Judge put this in the divorce decree, so I have the proof. Put in a complaint with the Attorney Disciplinary / Grievance Committee.

Gives you advice that then bites you in the rear end, then when you get punished for it, says nothing to stand up for you. Plays games with the clients. Files Motion that is against the law and charges you $5000 for it.

From start to finish Mr. Hiatt made a very difficult and stressful situation much easier to deal with. After going through a very long painful divorce with an attorney I felt never had my best interest at heart and only prolonged things for a paycheck (shame on me for not being stronger at the time and firing her) I found myself back in court again with my ex-husband while dealing with both my mother & grandmother being very ill and both passing during the process. It was an extremely hard time and very difficult for me to choose an attorney because of my prior experience. Mr. Hiatt was honest, always quick to respond to every phone call, email and question I had. He played no games, was focused and made me feel safe and confident having him as my attorney. He resolved things as quickly as possible. He's a gentleman and compassionate and well worth his fee. From my past experience and the stories I have heard from others who have dealt with attorneys I would say Mr. Hiatt is a rare find.
