Ralph Porzio helped me with a prenuptial agreement that my fiancé asked me to sign. I cannot stress enough the importance of choosing the right attorney to handle sensitive matters such as this. This was an emotionally charged situation and I quickly learned that choosing the right attorney has a very big impact on reaching a resolution without damaging your relationship. Before consulting Mr. Porzio, I met with an attorney who took a confrontational approach to the matter which in turn prompted me to become confrontational. I quickly realized that this approach was not healthy for me or my relationship and was not going to get me the results that I needed. I called Mr. Porzio who promptly returned my message and immediately put me at ease and assured me that we would be able to reach an amicable agreement in the short time frame that I had to work with. Mr. Porzio scheduled me for an evening appointment to accommodate my work schedule. During our meeting he explained to me what divorce laws provide, both with and without a prenuptial agreement, so that I could make an informed decision about whether to sign the agreement. Mr. Porzio reviewed the agreement with me page by page, paragraph by paragraph, explaining to me what each section meant and the potential consequences of agreeing to each provision. After meeting with Mr. Porzio I felt at ease with the idea of a prenuptial agreement. Mr. Porzio promptly returned my many phone calls and kept me up to date on his communications with my fiancé’s attorney throughout the entire process. If not for Mr. Porzio’s professionalism, a situation which could have deteriorated quickly was brought to a timely resolution with a minimum of conflict.
