In September of 2013 I was in a horrific motorcycle accident. My odds of survival were less than 5% (literally). Someone failed to see me or yield the right of way and they pulled out in front of me, and I had absolutely no chance to avoid the impact. I was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center where they immediately gave me a catscan, and the injury I sustained was a torn aorta, the main artery from the heart. not one single person actually believed I'd survive, for nobody had survived long enough for surgery. Once that was discovered I was flown by helicopter to Westchester Hospital where they performed heart surgery to try and and save my life. I ended up with a stent where the aorta was torn. After all of this, I had no insurance and wasn't covered under "No-fault". Over the next couple of years trying to workout an agreement, I found it impossible to have to pay back almost half a million dollars. That's when I looked into and met Allen Kolber. This man helped save my life in more ways than one, maybe not physically, but mentally and financially. My wife and I even contemplated Holding off of our planned wedding because of this financial crisis. I was getting served left and right to appear in court, but when Allen herd my story he assured me that he would help me any way he could, and that he did. I filed for bankruptcy after exhausting all other options, and Allen was the man who was able to make this happen. Allen was very kind, understanding, and most of all, trustworthy. From the minute I walked in his office. His assistants were also kind and genuine, and they were on top of everything. They even knew my voice and knew it was me every single (thousand times) I called with questions. They helped me just as much as Allen did, and made, what I invisioned to be insanely stressful experience, one that was smoother than I ever thought . Allen handled my Chapter 7 bankruptcy. He made sure I understood everything that was going to take place, and made sure that my concerns were addressed. Any time I had questions during the process, I was able to get an answer quickly. Even when one of my creditors tried to accelerate the timeline by bringing in their own attorney, Allen just made it go away. Filing bankruptcy was a big hassle, but Allen and his team made it as painless as possible. If I'd known it could be this easy, I would have done it sooner, instead of trying to "tough it out." When I entered Allen's office for the first time, I was very nervous. I find attorneys to be abrupt....not judging all just my experience.
