As if being sick isn’t bad enough, I learned that not all in the medical field really do their job and take patient care seriously, after a lengthy recovery, I was referred to Duffy and Duffy law firm, my case was reviewed and Mary Ellen Duffy was my attorney, she assured me from the start and led me through the process, which included of all things a global pandemic ! Had a very disappointing experience with this law firm. After thoroughly reading some of these reviews, I can see why. It appears if you're not a potential top dollar value case, you're mostly likely seen as an inconvenience. I felt when speaking to them, as though I was bothering them for continuously asking if someone could call me back, the first being for just a conferral, the second to get the contract sent, the third, to have someone go over it with me since, "woops, sorry", I don't deal with contracts everyday, and the fourth, to inquire about a line in the contract and requesting if it could be amended just to ensure my mother was not left holding a bill for a 3rd party. It doesn't take rocket science, a psychic, or profiler to know when someone is disinterested in the manner and tone in which they speak to you. I was referred by another firm and heard these guys were the best. Their interest, drive, and response to get back to me, if at all, was lackluster at best. When reviewing the contract, and reading the portion that states that the client does not pay the firm unless they win, it did not specify if the client does NOT pay to a 3rd party, or whatever mysterious outsider assists in their case, in the event the client does not win. To reassure my mother, who suffered a stroke and nerve injury, rendering her physically incapacitated for almost a year though she is slooowly recovering, I expressed my concern that she had NO money. My siblings and I, in paying these medical expenses, therapy visits, uber costs, along with seeing every specialist of a doctor down a category, wanted reassurance, in yes, writing, that she would not pay to anyone if there's no case, or no victory. Instead of having an attorney get back to me and explain why they could not do that, would not do that, or should not, and allowing my mother an opportunity to at least say "it's fine, let's proceed", they had their paralegal call me, and say "Nah, they're closing it". How professional! How noble! I read in one of the reviews that the client was billed for documents they did not even need. I guess for copies, reviewing them, requesting them, etc. I was asked by an attorney to provide them with my mother's social security # along with a list of all doctors, exams taken, results, etc. I had or would have NO PROBLEM playing "Magnum P.I." but I wanted my mother to sign the documents first before I put in work for a firm that, behind closed doors, just shut our case down without so much as a phone call because of my "inconvenient request". Could you imagine if I did all that only to have them say "Nope, not interested". As in any profession, perception and optics is key. Seeing verdicts from any firm out there about winning their clients a million this or a million on a website is all good and dandy, but the way you speak to someone, do not return their call, or have a paralegal call you to say they're not interested and won't amend anything that is not absolute and can be modified, sends volumes in my opinion about who they really care about or represent. The paralegal/receptionist however, is one of the most professional and attentive individuals I have spoken to.

I had an amazing experience using Duffy and Duffy. Frank Torres was my attorney and he was phenomenal. His legal assistant Crystal was amazing she stayed in touch with me the whole time. If I had any questions she answerd them right away or Frank answered them for me. He won my case because he did an amazing job prepping me for my deposition. Overall would use them again. 💯👍

Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the services provided. I had a mini stroke in September of 2021 due to an angiogram procedure that went bad and left me unable to walk. I was left with a multitude of symptoms that came only after the procedure was done. These symptoms are still ongoing and have not improved. It has severely impacted my day to day life. I assume the decision was based on the medical documentation that was requested from ONE source. I believe this source has inaccurately misrepresented the information i provided to them and they have omitted viable information in regards towards my condition and the events that have lead afterwards. Was the medical documentation from my primary doctor and his medical team also taken into account? They have clearly expressed on multiple occasions that my motor skills have deteriorated since the procedure. And that my symptoms are not acute but are coming from a vary obvious problem. I have to have a home health aide come everyday to basic errands, cooking, cleaning, bathing because i am unable to preform these basic tasks that came naturally to me just one summer ago. I literally skipped into the procedure only to be wheelchaired out. Im still in this wheelchair. I just don't understand what led to this decision. I literally have pictures of me walking and even eating at a restaurant, living my life as a normal person, 2 hours before the procedure. I'm just so disappointed that im not getting the justice i deserve and the people that put me in this situation are getting away with it scotch free. There really is no justice for the poor.

Engaged Duffy & Duffy to help with a car/bike accident that I was involved in (I was the one on the bike, unfortunately). I found Frank Torres to be responsive and professional and, more importantly, helped me obtain a settlement that was higher than I expected - without having to go through arbitration/litigation. Working with them was pain free and, although I don't plan to get hit by any more cars, If I do - would not hesitate to hire them again to help.

Frank Torres is by far the Best man for the job.He and his paralegal Crystal Fama handled my case very efficient and got the job done.
