Doug is a great lawyer…I called him for a traffic ticket I received in Freeport LI in my company truck .I drive a tractor trailer for FedEx Express.My ticket was for obstruction of a intersection which is a moving violation and points on my CDL license.If found guilty i would have be suspended from work for 60 days….Called Doug he went to court on my behalf …got the ticket reduced to jaywalking ,no points, no moving violation ,no suspension.Do not go to court on your own.Let Doug Represent you .Thanks Doug!!! As the operating manager of a business, I engaged the services of Mr. O’Rourke to begin evection proceeding against a commercial tenant. Mr. O’Rourke was recommended by a mutual friend. We agreed upon a flat rate (not uncommon in real estate transactions). We started in mid-December of 2019 and had our initial court hearing in the beginning of March 2020. It was at this hearing that the Judge inquired of the tenant if she had council and the judge adjourned the case till the end of March, 2020. One week after our initial hearing, COVID caused the entire court system to shut down and all evictions put on hold for about 2 years. Despite all these delays and numerous court appearances, Mr. O’Rourke never requested any additional fees.

This man is basically retired and just keeps taking peoples money to work as he feels like it. He took my families money which he convinced them to pay a flat fee up front (not a retainer?) and then proceeded to take up to 2 years to evict a negligent tenant (already a year plus behind rent before his hiring). He even suggested to the judge to post pone when the tenant showed up without an attorney instead of letting the judge make the decision. If you want an attorney that fights for his clients this man is most certainly not it.
