I hired Jessica Saks because she was recommended. Not only was she extremely hard to get a call back from, probably call 6-8 times over 3 weeks before she’d return the call, but she was also sloppy looking when she got to court, wearing crocs, didn’t brush her hair. She charged $2500 and we only had three 30 minute appearances, one 25 minute consult, one phone call for maybe 15 minutes and talked for maybe 10 minutes before each appearance. Don’t waste your money, you can represent yourself and do the same thing she does. LAZY!

Jessica Sax is an excellent attorney in family law. She did an amazing job, met with us at mutually convenient location and time, and definitely stepped up in the court room. When things could have been rough; she clearly explained options, possibilities and recommendations to help us come up with mutual agreements.

Extremely unreliable. Never answered my phone calls or got back to me when I left a message. Seems very unmotivated. Showed up to court looking dirty (greasy hair and BO) and wearing an outfit an attorney should not be wearing. Very unprofessional.

So Jessica is representing my daughter in a family case and I did in fact get irate with her staff, which is unexceptionable. I sincerely do apologize for that. What I have a problem with is I called her office to talk about my daughters case and I was told to get a lawyer. That’s it, just get a lawyer. She made made me feel all alone and abandoned, considering my child’s father is doing the same.

Going into court was always nerve racking for starts, but going in with someone who wholeheartedly had your back and best intentions made it so much easier! I must say having Jessica by my side through every single court appearance I’ve had has done me wonders! I was always skeptical, especially of court appointed lawyers, but she fought for me like I had paid her a million bucks with no hesitation!!! Not only do I recommend her services, I suggest if you want the job done; she is you’re blessing as she was always mine!!! I also owe her a big thanks, for the time, the pep talks and the many many times we butt heads while she Always gave me the best advice and encouragement! Not only a lawyer, but someone I respect and grew to love through the years!

I was extremely nervous about going to family court and I hired Jessica Saks after she was recommended by a few people. We were extremely impressed by her knowledge base and professionalism. I feel like she guided me and gave me the sound advice I needed. She did a fantastic job in the court room, getting me favorable results with my case. Hopefully we won’t need to go to family court again but if we do I know I’ll be using Jessica again for representation. I highly recommend her!

TOMPKINS County assigned Jessica Saks to represent me on a family court matter brought against me. I waisted my time and gas to drive to the Watkins Glen Court House to me her. I was appalled to think an attorney would even walk into a court house to meet a client dressed the way she was...that was my first impression. She reviewed my case and stated she could not win it or get it dismissed. I could have own the case myself if Judge Rowley was not bias against me for years. I was very upset when leaving the court house thinking to myself how did this woman even pass the bar exam. A friend of mine hired Dirk Oudermool, Esq. from Syracuse to represent me as the defendant in this case brought against me by the foster father who adopted my three grandchildren while I fought for them. Dirk did not only win the case, get the order dismissed, but also saw the gross bias that Judge Rowley has against me. Attorney's like Ms. Saks should be responsible for paying the fees when they take a case they can not win. This would get alotvof lazy court appointed attorney's out of our family court system. It is no wonder why are families are being devided by the Family Court System when attorney's like Jessica Saks are being appointed to cases.

I have had Mrs Saks represent me previously in a custody case which had gone in my favor but only because the defendant did not show. But the second time around did not work out the same as Mrs Saks would not Answer my calls or respond to any messages and it was weeks later before I heard back from her. So I let her know the date and time court was and had not heard back from her since. I've tried to reach out to her multiple times with no success and in good faith I assumed she would appear at my court case. But she did not appear and left me without a lawyer at court.

Ms. Sax started out good with my case but, then started dragging her feet on my case. Would not enter evidence that was crucial for my case, had no backbone in court. Was almost as if she became lazy and was not worried about my case. She had evidence that would have put my ex in jail and she refused to enter it into court. She also refused to violate my ex on numerous violations. And when I confronted her about these issues she waited till we went to court and told the judge she could no longer represent me

Jessica stuck with me and actually faught in court for what she felt i deserved the first lawyer i have ever had that did this and i have had a couple more than one for family court!
