Mike represented me in a car accident, where my car was totaled, but thank goodness we all came out ok. Due to a massive misunderstanding of New York City gun law, I found myself in serious legal hot water. Seriously, what kind of place does not allow you to own a legally-purchased handgun in a locked box? Baffling to this child of the West. Anyway, I called Tilem & Associates based on the reviews and it was the best call I could have made. Robert Schechter was very professional and in just a few months managed to reduce my charges to something that will fall off my record if I can, for a year, avoid assuming that NYC law is the same as the laws in nearly every other place in the the USA. Over the months that followed there were a number of court dates. At the hearings, Robert Schechter presented the facts, making progress to reduce the initial charges. In the end, an agreement was reached, which significantly exceeded my expectations. I am not someone who ordinarily writes reviews, but I truly appreciated the professionalism and legal ability of Robert Schechter and the team at Tilem & Associates. From start to finish, I had complete confidence in them and felt that I had the very best representation, at a very critical time. I am so glad that I engaged them and would recommend them.
