Kevin was amazing never let me down once connected with him instantly ,he cares about his people that’s hard to find now a days. Most people just want your money he’s different. He works hard to get what he wants and didn’t let me down nothing was put on my record at all and I’m very grateful that I got to work with him. He took care of me like I was his own family not just a client couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer.

Kevin exceeded my expectations from the word go. He was always there to listen to my concerns, and answer my questions, and above all, represent my best interests, even when I was unsure of the path we were taking. He could see the big picture in ways that were difficult to fathom in the midst of the 18 month divorce disaster. My ex-wife's midlife crisis ended up costing her far more than even she considered. At the end, Kevin handed me every SINGLE THING I asked for in the divorce, and several things I didn't. My ex's lawyer didn't see several of Kevin's strategies coming and we surprised them several times in court. It was fantastic watching them unable to figure out what to do. Kevin gave me a shot at a life and a relationship with my children I couldn't have imagined at the beginning of the divorce. I have referred him to several of my friends, and he represented me in a post matrimonial matter, to swift resolve, also exactly what I was looking for. Kevin is professional, and did everything I asked him to. I would not hesitate to recommend him to another person, and I would not hesitate to retain him again in the future, should the need arise.

He failed me and my family. He went back on promises and cost me more money at the end. I referred him early on to a friend. She was also disappointed. I found him not to be prepared at times with poor communication.

Mr. Shelby has an uncanny ability to adapt to his clients in a very personal way. In fact, he was so calm and casual with me that at one point I wondered if he was too calm and casual. I should have not been concerned. In my situation, push did indeed become shove, and Mr. Shelby immediately rose to the occasion, demonstrating a command of the law, and frankly the English language that proved beyond a doubt that I had made the right choice. If you find yourself in my situation (post-divorce vexatious and vitriolic claims), keep calm, trust in his skills, and he will help you arrive at the best possible outcome.

Kevin P. Shelby is a take-charge person, very capable, pursued my case when others wouldn't. I fired my prior attorney for Mr. Shelby who came highly recommended by a personal friend. My divorce was such a nightmare no one can even fathom what I endured. I relied and trusted Kevin to represent me but he turned out to be a huge disappointment. I also never received any monthly statements of charges and when I asked for them he told me it would be too difficult to provide. I have never heard of such a thing!! I also had to return to court at a later date to resolve something that hadn't been finalized in my divorce which he actually should have completed. He wouldn't take care of it and I really was not happy about that. Therefore, I had to pay another lawyer to complete the service.

kevin shelby was my third atty. for my divorce. two previous atty's either didn't show up ( sent associate) or said one thing then never delivered or had excuse's. kevin sat with me , reviewed everything and formed an outline for me. Any time i had a question he was a phone call or text away, even on weekends or evenings, can't say that for either of previous atty's. kevin get's it done.

My wife hired Kevin Shelby and when I met him for the first time, he served me divorce papers in Family Court. He was a nice guy but I had a lot of fun watching the man be nervous and illprepared. The man had a hard time getting basic information out of my wife in our first meeting and I think I found enough kinks in his armor to really give him and my wife fits. I can't wait to see him again. My wife is going to have a lot of finanical heartache paying for his services. He may be a good divorce lawyer or mediator for some people but I'm thrilled he's on the other side of the courtroom representing my wife. Watching him trying to pick up the pieces of my wife's midlife crisis will bring me nothing but joy!!!

No advocacy whatsoever. Felt like he was working for the other side. No invoices, errors is billing, caught him in lies, mainly when he forgot what he previously told me or when ill prepared for court. Everyone who asked me who my attorney was grimaced when they heard his name.

Kevin worked with me and listened to my concerns and my ideas. He did not sugar coat anything or tell me one thing and go and do another. He didn't drop the ball or forget to do anything that he said he would do or was required by the Court to do. He personally met with me on many occasions or agreed to meet with me if I had requested to go over my concerns or strategy (ies). He was very responsive and will even text message which is how we would sometimes communicate. Good with emails (within 24 hours). He also helped keep me calm in front the adversaries. Didn't get me too involved in any of the nuances or back and forth of negotiating with the adversary. Giving money to my ex was not going to be an easy or happy moment, but I was satisfied with the outcome and how it was structured. We didn't use the Court/courtroom itself to resolve our issues and were able to get it settled fairly quickly (within about 7 months) from actual start date with the court system. For what I gave up ($$$), I was very happy with what I obtained/kept. Reasonable retainer.
