Took my malpractice case and was excited about it. Easy case to win. after 6 months of texting his assistant tried calling numerous times with no response. Finally got a LETTER, NO PHONE CALL, saying he would no longer pursue my case against a Hospital that was criminally at fought. Turns out he decided to run for Judge. A lot of voters at that hospital. Jackson Co. BEWARE. Reason some lawyers have a bad name and reputation. You can vote for a better JUDGE!!!

Would not take my case although medical malpractice was performed for several different reasons

I had the misfortune of having to file a worker's compensation claim after a personal injury on the job. I tried to deal with a non-responsive claims adjustor myself for 5 months, and no matter what I tried, I could not get the medical care and benefits I was entitled to. I contacted Melrose, Seago & Lay and immediately had an appointment scheduled with Kim Lay. She took time with me to find out all of the details, I felt heard and respected, and I started to have renewed hope that finally I had someone on my side who could get this resolved! Within 24hrs of our appointment, she had a doctor's appointment scheduled for me and the compensation paperwork started. Kim Lay and Ryan Edwards, her Paralegal/Assistant, have provided excellent help at keeping me informed and answering any questions I have. My case is still pending but I have full confidence that the outcome will be fair and just because of their expertise! I'd recommend Kim Lay and Ryan Edwards in a heartbeat for any legal assistance.
