I am in my mid 50's and never been in any trouble until about a year ago. I was in the process of selling my house when a realtor showing my house made some erroneous assumptions and contacted the authorities. The authorities entered my house, without a warrant, and filed charges based on false assumptions. Once charged, I contacted Al Messer for a consultation. I explained the charges and the situation surrounding them. We both agreed that it appears my rights have been violated and I have been falsely charged. I hired Al to represent me and he went to work. Due to continuances it took several court appearances before we were able to present our case before a judge but, once presented the judge ruled in our favor and suppressed everything the prosecutor had presented. As a result all charges were dropped. I appreciate Al and his staff's professionalism throughout this entire process and would highly recommend him for whatever your situation may be.

Last year we were in need of a lawyer quickly and had no idea who to call in Asheville. Looking on line I thankfully found Al Messer and Sara Johnson. I must say I had an overall great experience with Ted's team. His legal assistant Sherri was phenomenal. I was so nervous based on the things I read around the internet for my charges. I didn't know what to do, not to mention, I didn't live in NC. So when I reached out to Ted, among other firms, he was the only one to return my email (Sherri did). She explained the costs and what Ted's strategy would be. I couldn't be more appreciative of the work they did on my behalf. The only thing I wasn't too pleased with was that, when my case was postponed, no one contacted me to tell me. I was worried and had to reach out to them. Yet Sherri responded quickly, as she normally does, and put my nervousness to rest. I would absolutely recommend using this team. And if I'm ever in trouble again in Madison County (hopefully not), they will be the first firm I contact.

Al Messer and his assistant Sara took the upmost care of me during my court case. I was brought to court due to 4 felony charges and a misdemeanor. Mr. Messer was able to get everything dismissed, including a speeding ticket I got a few weeks before my case was over. I would be in prison right now if it wasn't for Mr. Messer and his assistant Sara. They both guided me through a dense legal system and made sure that I knew what was going on in my case.
