Upon receiving a DWI, I was terrified and nervous about what was to come. A friend of mine spoke so highly of Michael Macht that I knew he was the lawyer I wanted before even meeting him. Upon our first face to face consultation Mr. Macht was patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about his abilities. Each question of mine was answered correctly and thoroughly every time. He was easy to reach and always had a contagiously positive and comforting attitude no matter how "miniscule" the question. Despite pleading guilty for my DWI, Michael Macht pulled off a miracle in the court room. Upon our arrival to court, it was clear that my best option would be to spend 24 hours in jail. He patiently discussed with me my options before we approached the bench so that I would be knowledgeable and comfortable with the judge's decision. Mr. Macht prepared for my case so thoroughly that he was able to convince the judge before my very eyes that I made an honest mistake. I was blown away by how he spoke to judge about who I am as a PERSON, not a criminal. Due to his dedication, determination for justice, passion for his career and trustworthiness, Mr. Macht's hard work was the sole reason I received mercy and walked out of that court room a free woman. Being a school teacher, I am beyond grateful that I did not have to go to jail that day. He convinced the judge to consider my 24 hours community service completed (time-wise and money-wise), to let me be on UN-supervised probation, and I was able to go right back to my normal life routine with the maximum amount of driving ability possible. I could not have made it through this DWI without Mr. Michael Macht.
