My Attorney for the past 6 years has been Jim Lupton P.A. I can honestly say that there is probably not a better attorney in the State of North Carolina. He is very smart, compassionate, thorough, kind, and honestly one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. But the greatest thing about Jim, is he knows the Law inside and out and will do everything in his power to get you the best result possible. I'll admit that I went though some personal issues and got into a little bit of trouble, I called to see Jim and he met me on a Friday afternoon that he was off apparently, because it was the 1st time I ever saw him in blue jeans and sneakers. But he took the time to come in a talk with me and spent over two hours talking over every single second of everything that had happened. What the weather was like, what was I wearing, and where exactly everything occurred. He took the time to get every single detail, no matter how big or small it may have seemed.I say this because what may seem like a small or meaningless detail to you, could be a huge detail to him. So if you do find yourself in the situation of needing a defense attorney, Please don't hesitate to call Wheatly, Wheatly, Weeks, Lupton, & Massie and ask for Mr. Jim Lupton. I'm not saying this to try to drum up business for him, I saying this because you would be doing yourself a favor to ensure that you have a future to look forward to and know that you will be getting an attorney that cares and will work harder for you than any other Attorney in Carteret County.

This review is specifically for Deb Massie for divorce. I hired Deb Massie for my absolute divorce, frustrated by the delays at my lawyer's office for my custody and equitable distribution case. I had a time sensitive situation, and was told 45 days ahead of time that I would be good to go as long as my ex did not seek an extension. However, once I paid, delays starting appearing out of the woodwork and I was told I may even want to file in a different county. I ended up needing to fire her just to get the divorce done pro se on time, unfortunately with some cooperation from my ex **barf**. I would avoid her office if possible. I think largely the problem revolved around her staff, but obviously she is to blame for that as well.
