Patterson Harkavy LLP claims to handle employment matters for employees, but my experience was completely the opposite. They turned me away without even bothering to do an intake to review my claim. When I tried to follow up by phone, no one ever answered. If you're dealing with legal issues, I wouldn't recommend reaching out to them—they're unresponsive, and it's clear that employment matters are not their priority. Very disappointing.

From the day Jim was referred to us as a litigation Lawyer, he demonstrated his professionalism and extensive expertise in this area. During the initial phone consultation, Jim outlined every single detail of the case and reassured us that by taking the steps he suggested, we would be dismissed from the lawsuit as it was clearly based on false allegations of trademark infringement. It took a phone call to the Plaintiff’s Lawyers for Jim to have the case immediately dismissed and the temporary financial restraining order completely lifted. This is by far, the best experience I’ve had with a professional in this area of expertise. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I secured James White (referred to as "Jim", by some!) to represent me as the Plaintiff for a corporate identiy theft case in Durham in 2009. Other attorneys from larger firms where familiar with my case, but failed to pick up on the subtle nuances and specific legal issues unique to my case. I choose Jim because he took a very unique view and approach to my case. One of the number one complaints from clients of other firms is the inaccesibility and lack of communication between client and counsel. Jim was very different. Through the duration of my case, Jim was ALWAYS available and ALWAYS responded quickly to my phone calls or text messages. He made himself readily available for impromptu meetings before and after court and if/when my husband had any additional questions regarding the status of my case, Jim did not hesitate to keep him abreast also (please remember, in this case I specifically gave Jim consent to discuss all aspects of the case with my husband). Jim understood how this case, as all cases, affect not only the individual client, but the client's family as a whole. I deeply appreciated Jim's compassion and understanding. In the end, I was happy with the outcome of my case, and if necessary in the future, I would whole-heartedly recommend and nominate Jim as personal legal counsel to my family and friends.
