I was an Intended Parent for a gestational surrogacy journey. Amy was a pleasure to work with every step of the way. She was always prompt and efficient. Her fees were reasonable and she was quick to answer any questions I had. When doing my research on which lawyer to choose, I asked for recommendations via a surrogacy facebook group. Amy's name repeatedly came up as the go to lawyer for all things surrogacy. I can see why she came so highly recommended. She definitely knows her stuff when it comes to surrogacy and is a true professional. You won't be sorry for choosing her as your lawyer! Her paralegal Carolyn was also a pleasure to work with as well!

Amy literally gave birth during the most stressful part of our adoption and she still answered phone calls, texts, and emails. She was always available for any questions or concerns and I had know doubt in her legal ability. She got us 2 kids in 7 months! Amy and her team are professional and personable at the same time.

Amy was hired by us to be our lawyer for our adoption of our little girl. Our adoption was an out of state adoption from Georgia..we live in North Carolina. The adoption was smooth and we worked with the adoption agency in Georgia and with Amy here in North Carolina. Amy gave us the referral for the adoption because we had contacted her previously to represent us for an adoption that was supposed to happen with a baby from Oklahoma. That adoption didn't happen because our re-finance of our home did not go through in time for the adoption agency in Oklahoma. So when the birth mom in Georgia was looking for adoptive parents, Amy contacted us to see if we had found new birth parents yet and we had stated we had not. She asked us if we were interested in putting in our names to the birthmom in Georgia and we stated we were definitely interested. If it wasn't for Amy, we would not have our little girl! She is the perfect little girl to us and is our little Angel! We cannot thank Amy enough for thinking of us that day!

My wife and I hired Amy to help with the adoption of our daughter. Amy was absolutely amazing and walked us through the adoption process and answered all of our questions. Furthermore, she responds promptly to inquiries as she understands how stressful this process is for the adoptive families. Amy worked extremely well with our adoption agency and our home state (Missouri). If you are looking for an adoption attorney stop researching now and simply hire Amy!

Amy handled the adoption of my daughter last March. I am the birth mother and she helped so much with this delicate process. She was willing to answer any questions I had no matter the time of day. Amy continues to be there for me whenever anything has come up. Definitely looks out for the best for her clients.

While I realize all adoptions have their own twists & turns, we had a rather complicated situation in adopting our son from a non-agency state where we had to hire another agency and attorney, then our local agency went bankrupt before we were finalized so we had to hire another.  But we were blessed to have Amy as our attorney to lead us each step of the way.   We never once emailed or called without a more than prompt and accurate response.  If I am remembering correct, I believe Amy even returned my initial call while she was on vacation.   You can tell when people care about you, and while we may not have gotten that warm feeling from the agencies, we surely got it from Amy and her staff.  She has a way of taking a very complicated, unknown, emotional, scary process and breaking it down to palatable steps.  With our other attorney and agencies, we also got pinned with additional fees, but not from Amy - she was upfront and reasonable with respect to costs.   I would highly recommend Amy to anyone in need of an attorney for their adoption.  We hope to start another adoption process in the future and plan to use Amy in the same or greater capacity than our first adoption.  

We were needing an attorney for our private adoption. We had a lot of questions and were hesitant to hire an attorney because we weren't 100% sure the mother would decide to place and we didn't want to "waste" money. After talking with Mrs. Fox, we felt that she understood our situation and helped to explain how their system works. She was very personable each time we spoke or had any contact. When our son was born, it happened to be on a holiday weekend. Mrs. Fox took time away from her family to correspond with us to find out what the next step would be. I really appreciated that. She had paperwork ready and was available when we needed her to be. We had used an adoption agency on a previous adoption and never had any communication. I was blown away by the communication we received with Mrs. Fox and I took time to thank her each time she would let us know anything, even "small" items. Bottom line: Very professional, very personable, VERY reliable and GREAT to work with.

After running into complications with finalizing an out of state adoption, we hired Amy to facilitate finalizing the adoption in North Carolina. Amy is extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the requirements and laws of North Carolina adoption and was extremely competent in the various phases of our finalization process. She had to coordinate her efforts with the out of state adoption agency and was diligent in contacting and following up with them until she received all the necessary paperwork we needed to file in North Carolina. Amy was always readily available to meet, email or talk on the phone to answer any of our questions and frequently gave us updates on the status of our case. Her friendly professionalism was the perfect fit for us and we are so glad she was part of our adoption journey. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
