I met Danny with a story so unbelievable that it took the urging of my husband and co-workers for me to even seek an attorney's help. With my entire body shaking and tears pouring down my face, I somehow got my story told between the sobbing. When I finished, I expected a look of doubt on his face but what I saw was concern and compassion. Danny promised at that moment that he would do everything he could for me. Over the next several months Danny listened as I explained, mostly through tears, how women are still mistreated and at a disadvantage in the workplace. Danny listened as I explained how helpless and vulnerable as a women I had felt in certain situations at work and he understood. After months of constant encouragement and that unwavering confidence that Danny had in me, I was able to testify for hours and hours and hours, all the while being bullied, belittled, my words twisted and accusations thrown at me from the opposing counsel. I was not a sobbing, shaking, mess, I was strong because I knew Danny believed in me. Now, I'll admit that I did cry after that but just because it was a long stressful day. Telling the truth and doing the right thing has always been very important to me. I asked God for an attorney that felt the same way. I asked for an attorney that cares about people more than money. I was lead to Danny, and I'm pretty sure that God is well pleased with his efforts. I consulted with Daniel Lyon because I needed an expert in employment law to review a separation agreement with my employer. He responded quickly to my initial phone call and he explained that he charged a reasonable set fee to review the documents and consult with me for about an hour to better understand the situation. He accommodated my schedule for this consultation and I emailed him the necessary documents before our meeting so he was prepared as well. During our meeting he asked many questions and asked to see additional documents regarding stock options, my sign on bonus and other compensation. He gave me helpful suggestions for wording changes in the separation agreement that protected me and my reputation as well as secured the full amount of severance. He suggested wording changes in the agreement that enabled me to keep a sign-on bonus that I initially thought I would have to pay back to my employer. He made these wording changes to my separation agreement within a few days of our meeting and without charging me more money than the initial set fee.
