$450 for consultation is ridiculous. Especially not knowing if we are the perfect fit for each other. When 99% of the other company does free consultation!

Attorney Cordes and her paralegal Jenny went above and beyond for me. They were extremely attentive, extremely thorough, extremely patient and extremely efficient. I loved working with them. They were very understanding as I traversed some extremely difficult situations. As a female in a very stressful and demanding profession, I recognized that Attorney Cordes always kept her cool, remained calm, and remained professional with respect to opposing counsel. She kept a smile on her face....but don't let the smile or the beauty fool you.....She will pounce when necessary and unleash even more her intelligence and savviness as an attorney. I loved it! I really wasn't going to post this review, but I also don't want them to think they got away with ripping me off. So I wanted help with some debt negotiations for myself and my deceased fathers estate. Was charged a handsome few thousand dollars for a retainer fee for them to do absolutely nothing that I didn't already do in the first place. They don't know it, but the "deals" that I was convinced to settle for I had already arranged a year or so prior to ever contacting the firm. I wanted them to fight for a better settlement to the outstanding debts and help fix items on my credit report (which meant some arbitration and a little more of an aggressive lawyer than what I got). In the end the paralegal was the biggest help as she was at least responsive in a timely manner. The lawyer I hired just appeared to be on a money grab as she told me to skip the arbitration because she was going on maternity leave and no one would be available to go to court (which I was already paying them to do). There is a bit more that really sucked about my experience with this firm. I have my suspicions about who they cater their services to the best. But I think I will save that for another day. I still owe them a few hundred dollars...I just can't bring myself to pay it because they are essentially trumped up charges because I decided to fire them.
