Very polite and quick response to my questions

We hired Emily Bretz (Soto Law) to prepare North Carolina wills for my wife and I. She was great! She asked for our relevant information in an easily understood process. She answered our questions in a very professional and patient manner. The process timing and resulting wills were excellant. I would not hesitate to recommend Emily and Soto Law to family and friends.

Handled my divorce flawlessly

Do not go to this place for your family law matters especially.. below is exactly how I feel about them.. To say I’m feeling frustrated is understatement. They make you feel small, worthless… They are “always busy with other clients” and never have time for you, specifically Belinda. She miscommunicates, tells you something and then later on on the same email she tells you something else, that if she replies after days. She’s the least professional person I have even interacted with anywhere. For me to say that( as someone who gets a long with basically anyone who has a bit of professional manners) is a big deal. They will bail on you down the road and drag their feet once the ball is in their court. I don’t know why someone ever trusts them to build a will or any type of trust planing with them. Imagine you’re building a prenup with them and then once you’re 2 weeks away, they will bail on you and ignore your emails and calls? Expect that. They promise you something but won’t deliver. They gave me hopes and I stopped shopping for attorneys but when it came to it less than a month before marrige, they backed out on my estate planning . They told me 2-3 weeks from the get go to finalize my EP but then they changed their mind… Who knows they are not thinking I will pay them more than their pricing sheet to incentivize them?! They made me give them all the information and assets. Dont waste your time and money to build estate planning with them. I mean why would you trust them for a will and give the fate of your children in the hands of someone you don’t trust? Why wouldn’t this happen when you’re dead if they do this to you when you’re still alive? Defeats the purpose of trust planning. if there’s any oversight at this firm, this shouldn’t happen and let for a paralegal and an associate attorney to misled and mistreat people however they wish. I spent hours filling out their EP packit and they dumped in the trash. It’s not hard to be honest with people from the get go but instead you promise and not deliver. They asked me to call the office to make the payment they didn’t pick up none of them did. I even emailed Emily and copied in the other one too. Seeing an issue and not saying anything is not okay. I don’t know how someone can stay in business with this type of behavior. Who knows other little good reviews aren’t immediate to them or something? They said it depends on how fast you approve the docs once drafted after I told them I turn turn things around quickly. I am very easy to work with and I provide documentation and materials requested in quick turnarounds. I have had 10 attorneys in my life for various things. I have had great experiences with all of them with no issues at all. They also make you sign something at the beginning that they can end the relationship whenever they want or believe they no longer desire to continue or something so later they have something to back themselves up if someone sues them no matter how they treat people. I told them to go back to the emails the conversations we had to see what they changed your answers, they never responded to those. Their answer was if I still want to proceed with EP under their new terms different from what was said instead of like decent human beings to own their mistakes and fix them.

Emily Bretz and her team took great care of us. We were on a tight deadline to draw up and executive our estate planning documents before leaving the country, and they made it happen! Emily was very professional, listened to our needs, answered our questions, and efficiently took care of everything. I would definitely use Emily/Soto Law again!

I worked a lot with Stephanie while closing on my home. She went above and beyond to help work out the kinks that vame up and to make the closing date. I highly recommend their services.
