Alex assisted us in obtaining a just outcome when our daughter's vehicle was hit by another vehicle. This was our first time that anyone in our family was involved in a situation such as this. I enjoyed working with Alexander on my case, I am very pleased with the result of the case and the tremendous effort he put in. I found myself to be often confused by all the legal jargon- Alexander took a lot of time in explaining the information to me in layman's terms. Throughout the case, Alexander did a tremendous job of keeping up with communication, I would always get an email update from him regarding the status of my case, and if I had any additional questions- regardless of the time during the day, I can always call or email him and I would get a reply. Feeling at ease, to ask questions in my opinion, is important when speaking to a lawyer. When you're dealing with legal issues that will affect the quality of your life long term, you need time to think. In some instances, I did not feel 100% comfortable speaking to Alexander. Unfortunately, at some appointments, I felt rushed, in one rare case, the way he had spoken to me was a bit "snippy". I am a morning person, with my work/school schedule I preferred to meet with Alexander during the earlier part of the mornings. Sometimes I had to wait outside until he arrived at the office. Needless to say, he would always call and provide an explanation for the tardiness. I guess it annoyed me then because as a professional, being punctual is expected. Overall, I was truly grateful to Alexander for the way he handled my case, without his help I would never have been awarded the compensation I received. It took patience, tenacity, and determination to get the job done- all qualities Alexander undoubted displayed. Thank you.

Alex was the lead attorney on my personal injury case. I truly appreciated his transparency, honesty and ownership on my case. My car was severely damaged in a car accident, and the at-fault driver's insurance company did not want to pay the diminished value determined during the "umpire" phase outlined in NC General Statute 20-279.21, subsection D. Even though he doesn't normally take such cases, Alex recognized my determined commitment to make the insurance company pay what it owed. He helped me through the arbitration process, after which the insurance company agreed to pay the amount the arbitrator (and the umpire) determined was fair. That amount was more than 8 times their original offer. The legal process is not easy to navigate -- unless you have someone like Alex Woodyard guiding you and answering your questions. I'm very appreciative of the navigation -- and results -- he provided.
