I hired Mr. Frank’s firm to assist me with a parent’s estate. Firm claimed I had no authorization to become POA, and that I’d need to find a Gurdian for the estate. Firm went on to tell me the court would not deem me an appropriate fit to be the Guardian of the estate for my own parent, and claimed we would have to have Mr. Frank become Guardian of the estate for a yearly fee. I went to a different attorney who quickly saw that I did in fact have the needed paperwork to become POA. Mr. Frank’s firm then refused to release my own paperwork back to me for three weeks and transferred all my calls directly to voicemail (unless I called from a different number they didn’t have on file), and failed to return calls.

Rudely refused to listen to the questions I needed answered and wasted my time and money on something I had no interest in. When I pay someone to work for me, I expect them to be respectful enough to listen to the description of the job I want done. In a previous attempt to schedule a consultation, I didn’t receive a call back for many weeks. I should have gone elsewhere at that point.

After hiring and paying a retainer and consultation fee, I waited seven weeks and never heard from Mr. Frank. After many telephone calls to inquire if work was being done, I never received any working documents. I had to hire another law firm. I never got a reply to my refund request. I call office and phone just rings and goes unanswered. To date, I have not heard from anyone.

When we needed to have legal papers drawn up in a hurry (durable powers of attorney for finance, health, advance directives, updating of wills, etc.) because of an immediate impending stem-cell transplant at Duke Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic, Mr. Jonathan S. Frank not only gave of his time freely, but rushed the paper work through so that everything was finalized and in our hands two days before we left for Duke. He was a tremendous help to us and we would recommend him highly to anyone who is in need of a good attorney. We shall be forever grateful for how he has helped us in my multiple myeloma cancer journey.

I would also recommend your firm to clients that have not yet completed an estate plan, which could easily avoid and reduce many of the concerns we face when someone we love passes away.

Mr. Frank was able to qualify our Mother for Veterans Benefits in about 100 days. This found money helped us pay for Mother's care while Mr. Frank showed us how to save about 65% of her remaining assets from Medicaid spend down!

After trying to use another lawyer to handle my mother's estate and never getting a return phone call till a couple of weeks later, Mr. Frank's office was a pleasure to deal with. Mr. Frank was able to help us (me and my two brothers) understand what needed to be done with Mom's assets. His assistant Shelby, was always reachable and sure knew her stuff.

I would recommend Jonathan to anyone. He is very experienced in estate planning and I could not have asked for a better person to work with. He answered all my questions and concerns.

My family was in a situation whereby they needed some estate planning and asset protection handled in a very time sensitive matter and Jonathan and his staff did an unbelievable job.
