When NCDOT decided to widen the road our fly shop was on, we were floored to hear our 3 year old business that was just starting to flourish was going to have to start over. I was very nervous about interacting with the state/DOT when it came to the eminent domain laws they were using to purchase a good portion of our property. I had received numerous letters from attorneys that were wanting to represent us regarding this but none felt right until I received the most professional packet of them all. I got letters from several different places telling me they were putting part of 540 pretty much in my backyard....but the goverment hadnt sent me anything. I called them up and another place and decided to use them. They told me what I needed to know and didnt give me bull. The assistants were nice and kept me updated felt like they actually cared. Lawyers were good too, knew a lot and were even able to explain it to me lol Nothing they could do to change where the road was going but they got me more money than i expected....talked to 2 of myy neighbors and they were happy with them to. thanks every one
