I recently used the Durham office for my bankruptcy. I worked with April Ayscue and she was amazing! She never made me feel bad for making this decision and was very professional and respectful. April was prompt and very courteous. I would recommend this office and especially her to anyone.

Receptionist was very pleasant and inviting but after completing 10 pages of questionnaires then got the “Paralegal from Hell” who didn’t even introduce herself before digging her pitchfork into me worse than the creditors I owe! Didn’t take a minute to decide that it’s better to put up with those harassing phone calls than Orcutt where you NEVER get to see a lawyer, just paralegals who treat you worse than the creditors once you sign on the dotted line!

I think this was a great decision that I made, and I wonder why I waited so long to contact the office of John T. Orcutt. I’m so very thankful for the work of April Ayscue, she was very professional and explained everything step by step... I will be forever grateful for her help!!! Thanks April.

My experience during this process went well. From my first visit, to my finally visit, I was treated well. April answered all of my questions in a timely manner.April allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed to ask. I was never given the run around. April was friendly, courteous, kind, and nonjudgmental. I would strongly recommend this office.

Having to declare bankruptcy or even consider it is terrifying! We weren’t even sure it was the best choice for our family but it was our only option. We had a friend refer us to John Orcutt and are so glad we chose them. Our process didn’t involve much personal interaction with our attorney Koury even though we knew he was acting behind the scenes on our behalf. The majority of our case was prepared and handled with care by the paralegals from start to finish. The first-Ms. Weaver and last-Nikki West who are 2 of the 3 paralegals we were working with were kind and responsive and treated us like family. I know their office sees a lot of clients but Nikki West our post filing paralegal is just amazing!! She answered all my emails quickly and even after business hours and never seemed to not have a plan to help us maneuver any upcoming issues we might see. This process is extremely challenging and requires fine attention to detail and we were so pleased with how they handled our case. Their prices are fair and the amount of service you receive is well worth it. Thanks again Nikki and company! We would happily refer John Orcutt’s office any day!!

From start to finish my experience was so comforting and everyone was so nice. I first met with Ms. Weaver. She was very professional and yet understanding in explaining how the whole process was going to work. I was a bit nervous to begin with but quickly knew I would be fine. My second meeting was with Ms. Ayscue. She was very professional and also a genuinely nice person. She covered all the bases with my paperwork, explained everything very thoroughly. My mind was eased, and I knew she cared. I then got the documentation back to her, and made my signing appointment for next week. There was no time wasted and I was very satisfied.
