Wade Carpenter gave me some of the poorest advice as a father . He convinced me to settle for the child custody I was offered and told me we would fight for custody later. He however never informed me that it would be and act of congress to get custody after I agreed. As well for months I wanted to be on the offensive to get this divorce over with. He made this case last for over a 1 and half and the when time for equitable distribution mediation , he said we don't need a mediator and again tried to get me to settle . The mediation failed and after I was hit for another 2500 in lawyers fee . He quit the case because he didn't want to go to court and fight Mcelveen Law firm . It also appears that he and Mcelveen had communicated via text and agreed that Carpenter would get me to settle on ED. Now I know why we had a mediator for child custody but not for ED. I would Never recommend this firm for family law . the cost is more than just financials
