Everything worked out for me, I was able to get my life back on track.

I had some legal paperwork drawn up here that was particularly time sensitive. They had the greatest sense of urgency when assisting me and my child with our immediate needs. I highly recommend them. The paralegal Amani was so thoughtful, kind, and kept me updated every step of the way. Being time sensitive I was very nervous to get everything done as quickly as possible. I can’t thank them enough. They have literally changed mine and my child’s life for the best! She even drove to a different city to get everything signed and notarized so we wouldn’t have to travel. 10/10 recommend!

My divorce was simple, basically just division of property, nevertheless, still traumatic. Everyone at the Law office of Stephen E. Robertson was personable, kind and helpful. Steve has many years of experience in family law and was honest and forthright about NC law, which basically states, everything obtained in the marriage (45 years, in my personal circumstance) is divided 50/50. Steve understood my situation, gave prudent counsel and we settled to my advantage. I definitely recommend this office.

This process working with them has been bad from start to finish, and I stayed feeling stressed out for the entire process. I don't make a lot of money but I figured I needed to pay for the best in this office to get the best. WRONG! I think there's a huge communication gap between the help and the lawyer, or so I hope everything wasnt his doing. Getting information is like pulling teeth. Before court I had to call up there multiple times and get scheduled to come in to talk about the case and evidence I had because no one had contacted me and court was right around the corner. Why did I have to do this? If I didnt what information were they going to use at all??Once I was told I'd hear back via phone call and court was scheduled the next day. No call, no email, nothing, so of course I showed up. It's my child we're talking about. My lawyer had already told the opposing lawyer he was out of town so there was no reason for me to had drove +4hrs for court. I got a call once because he didn't read my email, and he let me know he'd made a mistake in not doing so. I was charged for that call. Office staff said there were no mistakes. Well, that's exactly the word he used on the call to apologize, and that's the same word I'd use for me showing up to court from lack of communication. My custody order doesn't say what my lawyer and I agreed to in court. It's my fault because I should've tried harder to read his scribble instead of trusting him to had put what was agreed on and signing. Now I only get to see my child 14days the ENTIRE summer, so now he sits cooped up in a house alone all day glued to a video game with no summer camps, no golf or baseball camps, nor anything he got at home to keep him engaged during the summer. Fantastic right? Speaking of that same scribble of a custody order. I was told in court that same day that I'd get a clean typed out copy. That was 5 MONTHS ago. I've asked for it 2 or 3 times now. Do not take anything they say by word of mouth. Get everything in writting. Once you've paid, you're done. Nothing he's said he will do matters if its not done and you've already paid. Don't pay until you get what you're being charged for or you won't get it at all, and even then it's like pulling teeth to get it done. Good luck
