I went to Mr. Berry needing minor adjustments to a Will and two Power of Attorney documents that were only 5 years old. He demanded a retainer of $950 but said there would be a refund if the work did not require the requisite hours. I briefly discussed another legal matter with Mr. Berry, but only retained him to work on updating the three documents. After doing work that should have taken an experienced attorney no more than a few hours, my bill came to exactly $950. I am taking him to Small Claims Court.
