I called to schedule a consultation and the behavior was truly unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable. The party answering asked about the charge I was calling in reference to. I began attempting to explain there were originally more charges before explaining the charge remaining. The answering party cut me before I could answer and inquired when the person I was calling on behalf of was arrested. I stated what month I believe it was and attempted to explain there was a prior situation from another county that impacted my ability to decipher the exact month the party went to Vance County. The party started telling me this was information I needed before speaking with Mr. Baskerville. Any other firm would have scheduled the consult and politely explained what information I needed for the consultation instead the answering party displayed clear annoyance. The call was disconnected. (I believe on purpose.) I called back and he immediately started telling me once again I needed the answers to these questions before speaking with the attorney then goes on to say he is Mr. Baskerville. I tried again to give him the answers to the questions he’d asked. He began talking over me, telling me how irrelevant the little I had the chance to explain was to his original question. I politely began to try to explain the complexity of the situation. Once again Mr. Baskerville rudely cut me off. I began to become upset, but continued to remain polite attempting to keep my voice even, and once again tried to explain the situation where he was needed. He started speaking over me again and advised me he could not assist me because I seemingly was not answering his questions fast enough or in the manner he wanted. He could be rude, loud, speak over me, not give me a viable opportunity to answer his question before cutting me off with another question; and I was just supposed to sit there and allow it. The moment I became assertive he couldn’t assist me. Anyone considering working with this person I advise you to look elsewhere. This man is disrespectful and rude for absolutely no reason. I pray he hears the voicemail I left specifically for him. He has an attitude because he has to listen to details which is what an attorney needs most to do their job accurately. I’m trying to ensure he knew the totality of the situation and that made him upset. Needing him means people are in situations where they don’t need his nasty attitude and truly who wants an attorney that hates details. This man is truly in the incorrect field and anyone considering someone with this mindset representing them needs to run!
