I just spent $300 for 30 mins - after ending the call - within 5 minutes, I received and email saying they cant help. This is complete scam company - don't do it people, they will just take your money. I'm sure they will take me to court for slander. Dont use these people, and don't give them your hard earned money

A lawyer at this office was able to file a document for custody on behalf of a client with the court in Durham that is back dated, notarized on that back date, and stamped by someone at the courthouse on that back date. This entire document has been falsified. This lawyer talked a court employee into backdating the document. This lawyer also had a notary sign and stamp on a back date. It is illegal for a notary to perform such a notary act. That lawyer should face reprimand, that notary should lose their certificate, and the court employee should face serious consequences. This lawyer thinks she can modify the law as a favor to a friend. What she has done is discredit herself and this law firm. I will be pursuing this further. I am not a party in this case but I have seen the documents, know the facts and timeline of the events, and I can see the illegal activity. I am a notary in North Carolina and I am appalled that three entities were involved in the act of falsifying dates on this document.

I am a local family law paralegal, and my firm utilizes Beth Von Hagen for the majority of our domestic relations orders. She is knowledgeable and goes above and beyond with her guidance and assistance. She is also prompt with her responses and work. She certainly makes my life easier as a paralegal, and I highly recommend her.

I could not agree more, this place is a joke! The lack of communication is ridiculous! The make promises that they can't keep. Told me I'd get everything that I wanted with all the evidence that I had, and guess what I got? 50/50 custody with a dad who could care less about his daughter. They preach and preach how they've been in business for over 40 years but the fight they put up is worthless. They also charge a ridiculous amount of money for them to do absolutely nothing! They will call you and email you multiple times a day to burn up the bill. All the evidence they gather while "they"re helping you" doesn't even matter, they pushed me and pushed me to give my child's father what he wanted because "he isn't a bad person." They dont' fight for you, nor are they on your side. I had about 4 people working on my case and would hear from different people everyday. They would lose documents, and say they were gonna do something and never do it.. I would I do not recommend this firm to anyone!

This place is a joke. They charge outrageous fees and fail to communicate. They tried to quote me 15,000$ for one day in court for temporary custody of my nieces and nephew. athey are not sincere and always have an excuse for why they can't get anything done. It's pathetic. Do not use laura . Megan, the front desk person, has no clue what her job is and makes empty promises that she will get back to you and she does not.

I have known Joann since I taught both her girls in elementary school. I have never needed a family lawyer but if I did, I would get Joanne’s assistance hands down. She has an incredible reputation from those who have used her in difficult family cases. Anyone who used her services would not be disappointed.
