I paid Stuart Popkins over $1000 to handle a case on my behalf out of state. After he took my payment he told me everything was settled and that the only fine left to pay was $65 to the DMV. Once I contacted the DMV to process this payment I was informed that the same citations I paid Popkins to handle were the same citations I needed to pay Onslow County for. I contacted Popkins but was not successful in corresponding with anyone at his office. I did receive a text message directing me to stop calling and to text instead but once I informed whomever was texting from his phone of my situation I have not heard back from them.

He took my 1700.00 dollars and didn't do anything to help me....

This lawyer is family owned & is the best representation i have ever recieved in this county i am a native of 56 yrs of.... I hear ppl say many things about him but if they would take the time to kno common sense of the law? He doesnt have to tell you to be present or what he is goin to do or say cuz this man here? Will never lead you wrong in any court of law.... His wife is excellent also.... Perfect team.... Highly recommended

Go hire public defender.. may wind up more punctual He had my brothers case, that somehow my brother ends up with a Failure to Appear because he missed a court date that was never relayed. When this situation went down, I had to call dude several times before he ended up fixing the issue. Asked me to stop leaving replies / calling. Pretty terrible experience
