This man took $2000 from me and did nothing. He separated from his law firm at which time I was presented with the choice to stay with the law firm (which wasn't an option since they no longer had a civil attorney), stay with him , or go elsewhere (in which case I would not be refunded any money). I opted to stay with him since I had already payed him $2000. He would not return any calls and there was no progress with my case at all. Months went by, with him occasionally telling me he was still going to represent me. Finally, I had to hire another attorney and did not receive any of my money back. Not papers were ever filed and I never saw the inside of a court room . He didn't do this to just me. He had several other clients who he also "dumped" at the same time and all of us lost any moneys we had given him. I have a personal friend who hired Deke to handle his divorce and he said it was an awful experience and he would never recommend him to anyone. Do NOT hire this man unless you want to be robbed. I never would've expected this kind of behavior from someone who is supposed to be upholding the law. There no other way to put it other than: This man stole $2000 from me. For me, that's a whole months income and it's just gone. The one star rating is far more than he deserves.

Mr. Silva is perhaps the most knowledgeable and best DWI attorney in the area. I would strongly recommend him and his staff for any traffic or criminal matters.

Mr. Silva was the best! He’s very patient and answered all the concerns and questioned I had. He ended up winning the case for me. I can’t recommend him enough! Truly one of the best.

Deke Owens has to be one of the most unprepared lawyers I have seen in some time. He acted like he never had a clue as to what was going on in my case. I never did see the evidence against me. Made him a list of questions to ask because he didn't keep notes or ever know what was going on. Was told to go to court when I wasn't supposed to be at court. When it did go to trial after almost a year of contributions it seemed that him and the judge had already talked and came to a consensus of what should happen. So, my case never even got heard and I was faced at taking a judgement or else there could be consequence. I have lost all faith in attorney's and the judicial system after this. I would never recommend Deke Owens for anything.

REVIEW EDIT: After writing this review, Mr Silva saw that I was not satisfied. He called me to apologize and see what all they could do to make it right and made sure I got my moneys worth and that I felt completely comfortable with my consult. One of my options was to give Mr Owens another chance to review and study my case and give me another consult free of charge to make up for the first one and I decided upon this action. Mr. Owens apologized to me and made it right by remaining in contact with me, being professional even after the negative review I gave and gave me a better consultation worth considering when it came to hiring them for my future needs. I don’t like that this is what it took to be happy with a consult BUT everyone makes mistakes and the fact that they wanted to make it right and kept it professional, was what makes me write this positive review. FIRST REVIEW: Mr. Owens gave me significant legal advice and was not biased which I appreciated. Was not happy that he was not prepared for my consultation at all. Thought I was someone else and then when I was giving him more information about me and my possible case, he did not even come prepared to talk about my previous court history. After the consult, he told me that since he was not prepared, he’d be happy to look at my information if I sent it over through email and would give me more advice based on that and I never heard from him again after I sent over my documents. They were happy to take my consult fee but didn’t want to take the time to finish the job whether or not I hired them. In the end they did me the favor by not being prepared, honorable or reliable.

Words fall short of their true meaning when I say I’m beyond impressed and privileged to have had this law firm represent me. Mr.Silva is an expert in his field and had my entire case dismissed.
