Mr. Shanahan was always very professional and caring. He listened to all my concerns about my case and answered every question I had. He was very quick with all his responses either via phone call or email. If I ever wanted to meet with him he was usually avaible that same week to sit down and discuss my case. His paralegal Suzanne was extremely nice and polite. They both made this experience less daunting. The receptionist Danielle was also very cheerful and inviting and the office was always kept very tidy. I would recommend Mr. Shanahan and his team to anyone.

1. Mr. Shanahan was instrumental in helping me to work through complicated, multi-sated guardianship issues successfully. His staff, especially Suzanne, kept me informed every step of the way and arranged for meetings at my convenience. Mr. Shanahan and staff were always professional, understanding and very kind. I would not hesitate to ask for his services in the future. 2. I had previously had Mr. Shanahan's help with the successful completion of a guardianship issue, so I did not hesitate to call on his expertise again in an issue regarding animal safety. He was able to negotiate with ADA and concerned parties to have this matter taken care of promptly and quite successfully. Mr. Shanahan and his staff were always professional, prompt, and very helpful. Again, I would not hesitate to call on him again.

I have only spoken to Mr. Shanahan briefly on the phone due to moving to Washington. I read some reviews about Silva, Kiernan, and Associates and took a chance. After the initial free phone consultation regarding my divorce, there was really no need for me to be in direct contact with Mr. Shanahan. The reason: his paralegal, Suzanne, is AMAZING!!! She kept me regularly informed, was able to translate the legal process into something easily digestible, is punctual with her correspondence, and is the definition of perfect liaison between lawyer and client. Mr. Shanahan, like most lawyers, I imagine, was regularly in court. That said, you can't expect to have a direct 24/7 connection with your lawyer - they have other cases and etiquettes to follow while in court. I would say that Mr. Shanahan and Suzanne are a perfect team - professional, punctual, organized, and genuinely involved with the entire process.

Mr. Shanahan from day one has made us feel great we seeked legal counsel we had court and he handled every matter with such dignity he got us the results we wanted and seemed like such a easy process. I had never been in trouble in my entire life, let alone hired a lawyer. I had hired with Mr. Shanahan to maintain a good record in society. The level of professionalism, courtesy, and skill that I encountered at his office was outstanding. The timeframe it took to close my case was superb as well. I was charged with three felonies in August 2014. I had never been in trouble in my entire life, let alone hired a lawyer. I had consulted four other attorneys before I ended up with Mr. Shanahan. None of them were even close to the level of professionalism, courtesy, and skill that I encountered at his office. They all had me convinced I was going to away for a long time. He told me that WASN'T going to happen. The ladies at Silva, Sweet, & Kiernan are the absolute best, and treat you with such respect. I made my appointment for that day, and thankfully they fit me in. I met with Mr. Silva and Mr. Shanahan during my consultation. I was immediately at ease. He helped me calm down, he explained the entire criminal process, and he made me feel I had a second chance. He offered to walk to me the magistrate's, walk me through the process to turn myself in, and helped me get a signature bond. Every other lawyer wanted 500$ to do this, and told me I had best have bail money ready. My case went on for about a year. He always answered my emails and helped reassure me that the case was going smoothly. I learned in the court system "no news is good news". I was a complete wreck for that entire year but he continuously reassured me that the worst case scenario wasn't an option. The day he called me to tell me my case had been dismissed was absolutely the best day of my life. I was able to continue my career I worked so hard for and I was going to be able to live my life without being a felon. He is a miracle worker, and I am so thankful for him. I cannot thank Mr. Shanahan or the Law Office of Silva, Sweet, & Kiernan enough for giving me a new chance at living my life. They are worth so much more than they charge, and they are always willing to work with you. Again, thank you so so so so much from the bottom of my heart. My son had gotten into some trouble, and he did everything possible to get the full story of everyone involved and made sure he got a fair hearing and a second chance...very good nice man very caring but to the point. Would def recommend him and would use him again!!!! Thank u so much!!!

Mr. William Shanahan represented my grandson on charges filed in Jacksonville, NC. My grandson is from another county and was incarcerated there for the main charges relating to the one in Jacksonville, so communication was a problem. However, Mr. Shanahan kept in touch with me and never failed to return a call. I've never experienced such prompt and friendly service from anyone, much less an attorney. He was able to work with the DA and get the best possible outcome that we could have imagined - dismissal of the charges in Jacksonville, with payment of restitution. After observing Mr. Shanahan's dedication, integrity, intelligence, and work ethic, I recommended he be hired upon his graduation from law school.
