All my family records, their medical records and my records were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. She helped me maneuver through the information required and guided me as needed. After retiring from the FBI, I discovered I was suffering from a number of serious health problems that were diagnosed in late 2023 and 2024. It is unsure if these were acquired during the year I spent at Camp Lejeune with my parents. However, it didn't matter since I fell outside of the 35-year claim limit.
