Divorce is hard, painful, and expensive when a spouse throws a gauntlet: my way or war. I knew the moment I discovered my spouse's betrayal I was done— done with lies, bursts of anger, blaming, and skirt-chasing. My lawyer intervened by researching the law, drafting the agreements, and submitting them to my spouse for his signature. As the breaching party of the EDA, he could be sued for my legal fees. My spouse failed to respond, and we had to compel him by filing court orders. Only then did my spouse hire a second lawyer—an aggressive one whom my spouse expected would amend the EDA by deleting the two unfulfilled benefits. My spouse ignored No Contact clause included in our EDA, barraging me with voicemails and his ceaseless determination to impose his will. The opposing counsel pulled a shrewd maneuver by agreeing to the paperwork Irons & Irons had drafted and obtaining my spouse's signature. Once more, Gib Irons assessed the reality before me and advised settling. I trusted Gib Iron's experience and advice and agreed not to litigate. Once the judge signs the Absolute Divorce, I can build a new life. I could not have endured this long journey without knowing Gig Irons and his team had my back. Their profession is not an easy one.
