I was referred to Cordell & Cordell by a colleague. I called into the office to speak with an attorney regarding my case. I was directed to an attorney's voice-mail. I left a message and then received a call back from a paralegal named "Jennifer." She told me I could discuss my case with her. I didn't feel comfortable with that. I told her I would not be discussing my case with her and that I would like to schedule a time to speak to the attorney instead. She claimed that cases generally go through her before reaching the firms attorney's desk. I admit I got frustrated with her about not allowing me to schedule a time to speak with an actual attorney. After about 3 minutes of back and forth arguing, she hung up on me. If this is standard protocol on how to treat potential clients, I am glad I won't be using this firm!

Don't trust them to do what they say they will

This company is just so bad. If you want to loose your money go for it. They will not read the packet they make you do. Wasted my time. Over charged for a few minutes of there time. It was just so bad. They don’t explain. I originally had the them for child custody. The lawyer forgot and did child support. Ruined my relationship with my actual child support lawyer. They wasted my money and time on child support and did at the end nothing. your better burning thousands and thousands or your money and watching it. I see why they have such a nice building because they over charge you. You are better out fighting it alone. This law firm even took for ever to return my money. I don’t mind spending money on a lawyer But do your job. And hahaha it was just all so bad. it’s truamatic experience. But in the good part they do tell the courts they no longer represent you. So that’s a good thing.

Nothing to share for now

Allister Cooper is an amazing attorney who is invested in her client’s well-being. Allister knew the ins and outs of our case and was extremely well prepared for each court appearance. In the two years she represented me, we were undefeated. Her representation gained me everything I wanted and more. She went above and beyond on all occasions. Allister is kind, caring, intelligent, hard working, and professional. I could not have asked for a better attorney or experience.

Allister is the best! She was so friendly and very easy to talk to. She feels like an older sister to me! She really takes my feelings and desires into consideration and makes the decisions that help my situation. She is always there when I need her and had amazing response time. I was so nervous of having to go through custody but she put me to ease. Im thankful for her and will never replace her. She’s professional and tedious and really good at her job!

This organization is completely money driven. They dont care about what happens all they want is their money. For $5,000 they will get an outcome that's worse than what you could have gotten on your own. $125 consultation fee/ $3000 retainer/ $175 an hour!!!! Their services are definitely not worth it. Take heed, work with the courts on your own (child support, divorce, custody, etc) and steer clear of money hungry attorneys like Cordell and Cordell.

Absolutely one of the worst experiences you can have with a law firm, as if divorce and cooperation isn’t hard enough have to deal with these people charging you an arm and a leg to do absolutely nothing is probably even worse, $1800 dollars upfront $225 to talk to a person for 30 mins itemized bills of overpriced WORD DOCUMENTS $500 plus for 20 mins of work and after 4 months still no divorce. They’re asking me questions like I’m the lawyer. The point of Council is to guide you to the best decision meanwhile. At the end of it I’m told that it was my decisions that made the situation longer, while they attempt to charge me more money. It was and absolutely horrible ridiculous uneventful experience to which I would not recommend. Do not let the stars full you they do not care about your divorce or situation they want the money that’s it. A. Allister Cooper didn’t help me in any way form or fashion weeks after the first lawyer left the firm she calls and is only talking about money not the case or even trying to solve the divorce at all. And then sent an Emailing demanding payment, as if she had done any of the previous work on the case. Derek Wagner was the only person I can truly say was active in the whole process he basically handled every that was done on the case. End result I’m stuck with a bill no divorce and absolutely discouraged by the entire process. The Bad reviews you read are exactly my experience with this firm look elsewhere for help.
